In this Trading Sequence Quest Guide, we’ve got a complete walkthrough of all the places you need to go and all the characters you need to meet to complete the trading sequence.
Yoshi Doll starts the Trading Sequence quest. To get it, you need to the Trendy Game, Mabe Village and *pay 10 Rupees* to get a chance to receive it from the crane game.
To get the Pink Ribbon, you need to give the Yoshi Doll to Mamasha, the woman who lives in the biggest house in the Mabe Village.
Dog Food Can
You need to take the Pink Ribbon to the baby Chain Chomp on the right side of the house with the Chain Chomp outside.
To trade Dog Food Can for Bananas, you need to speak to Sale inside the house surrounded by bananas on the area where you first woke up.
With the Bananas at your disposal, you need to travel to Kanalet Castle and speak to Kiki the Monkey outside the castle to exchange the Bananas for a stick.
To get the Honeycomb, you need to speak to Tarin near the Ukuku Prairie wrap point after clearing the 3rd dungeon in the game.
You need to find Chef Bear in the Animal Village and give him the Honeycomb to receive a Pineapple in return.
With a Pineapple in your inventory, you need to head over to the Tal Tal Mountain Range and meet a man named Papahl at the very top of the area. He’ll reward you with a Hibiscus Flower In exchange for a Pineapple.
After grabbing the Hibiscus Flower from Papahl, you need to travel to the Animal Village and speak to Christine the Goat. She’ll give you a Letter to hand over to Mr. Write in exchange for your Hibiscus Flower.
To find Mr. Write, you need to go to a small shack in the Mysterious Forest. After handing him the Letter, you’ll be rewarded with a Broom.
To get your hands on a Fishing Hook, you need to return to the Mabe Village and give the Broom to Grandma Yahoo.
You need to go to the Fisherman in the area and give him the Fishing Hook to receive a Mermaid’s Necklace in return. You’ll find the Fisherman near the bridge close to Catfish’s Maw.
After getting the Mermaid’s Necklace, you need to head over to Catfish’s Maw and return the mermaid her necklace to receive a scale from her tail in return.
With a Mermaid’s Scale in your inventory, you need to travel to the mermaid statue near the Catfish’s Maw and defeat an invisible enemy who appears in the newly opened path to receive the Magnifying Lens.
To get the final item in the Trading Sequence quest (Boomerang), you need to speak to Goriya who’s behind a weakened wall in Toronbo Shores. However, to get it, you’ll need to hand him over one of your weapons.
