Soldier Husk are the deceased bodies with which you can interact and gain benefits. To interact with them, just press A when you get too close to them, and a flute will start playing that will depart the soul.

What is the Reward of Departing the Souls

After sending the Husk, your affinity increases. An increase in affinity means a bonus effect that affects the colony to which you belong—the status of the colony by pressing on the top right corner of the screen.
