Interlinking in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 lets you fuse two characters into something called Ouroboros. While in this form, the characters get access to stronger attacks that can be helpful against tougher foes, particularly in the endgame. You can also increase the level of Interlink for added advantages. In this Xenoblade Chronicles 3 guide, we have detailed all there is to learn about increasing the Interlink Level.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Interlink

In order to Interlink in the game, you just need to press the left directional button on the D-pad. An on-screen prompt will indicate which level the Interlink will be – more on it later. One more thing to note is that the Interlinking can be canceled by pressing the down button. As for switching Ouroboros, it can be done by pressing the up down.

How to Increase Interlink Level

Interlink can be raised to a maximum of Level 3. There are a couple of advantages of increasing this level i.e., faster access to Talent Arts, increased damage, etc. But how do you raise the level?

It is all very simple. In order to increase the Interlink Level, you just need to use the Fusion Arts during combat. A single Fusion Art raises the Interlink Level by +1. For the uninitiated, Fusion Arts can be performed by pressing the ZR button. As for when to do it, it is entirely depends on you. However, we recommend doing it before entering the Ouroboros form so that it is more potent.

Lastly, it is also important to note that Interlink has a built-in cooldown and it automatically returns to Level 1 once it ends. Also, it cannot be used if one of the abilities for the Fusion Arts is on a cooldown.
