Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem Skills Guide

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem has three different types of skills. There are active skills, passive skills, and signature skills. Your active skills are magic spells and/or special melee attacks that usually come with a Rage or Umbra cost, while some also use charges or have a cooldown period.

Active skills in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem won’t just be granted to you. You must loot tomes in order to acquire these skills, or you can buy tomes from nearby Archivist. When your character is able to read a tome it is destroyed and the player gains a new active skill to use in gameplay. How can you level up skills? Well, you need to use the skill to kill enemies in order to upgrade their abilities and power.

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem Skills

Below are various types of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem active skills and more. Active skills can be customized via the Active Skill Tree. 2 skills variants which are unlocked each 5 level ups until level 25.

Melee Active Skills

This section features Wolcen’s active melee skills and their effect on the battlefield.

Melee Active Skills Description 
  
Anvil’s Woe Summon a hammer and bring it down on your enemies. It deals area damage. 
Bladestorm Summon a greatsword that spins to maintain momentum. It is great to cut a path through groups of enemies. 
Bleeding Edge Allows you to throw a spinning blade that does damage and has a bleed effect on enemies. 
Blood for Blood Damaging effect on an area on the ground. Does more Rend Damage the lower your HP is. 
Flight of Gaavanir A flying hammer goes in the direction of your cursor, summon back the hammer by casting the spell again. 
Juggernaut Summon a shield that absorbs incoming damage. The shield breaks after a certain point of absorbing damage but does damage to nearby enemies when breaks. If the shield is re-cast ist explodes and does even more damage to nearby enemies. 
Sovereign Shout A war cry that boosts attack speed and cast speed by 25% for you and your allies. 
Warpath Summon a shield and charge forward with a dash to deal damage to your enemies. 
Wings of  Ishmir Summon a giant spear and dash forward at enemies. 
Wrath of Baäpheth Summon a pair of chains and lash your enemies. 

Dagger Bow Pistol Skills

This section features active Wolcen pistol skills.

Avenger Autoturrent Summon a turret for cover fire 
Deathgazer  Railgun Charged Sniper shot 
Duskshroud Cast a shadow cloud on the ground 
Evasion Dash in the opposite direction of the cursor and drop a projectile where the skill was activated that makes enemies slower in a selected area 
Gunslinger’s Brand Channel several shots at select targets 
Havoc Orb Launch an exploding device in an area to deal fire damage 
Mark of Impurity Curse a target to deal more damage to him 
Phantom Blades Launch a spinning dual blade 
Slayer’s Flurry Summon two blades and dash forward at your target to deal with single target damage. Won’t dash if used in melee range 
Stings of  Krearion Summon a bow and launch multiple piercing arrows 
Wailing Arrows Launch a volley of arrows in an area that damages enemies over time 

Staff and Catalyst Skills

This section features Active Staff and Catalyst skills, their effects, and more.

Active Staff and Catalyst Skills Description 
  
Aether Jump Jump through the Aether to teleport to a different location. 
Annihilation Summon a beam of Aether, Turn Speed is increased while casting proportionally to the cast speed. 
Arctic Spear Throw an ice shard in a line 
 Create a circle of healing for you and your allies by blessing an area with the light of dawn. 
Consuming Embers Summon and launch a fireball in a line in front of you. 
Feeding Swarm Summon a melee damage dealing zombie. 
Infinity Blades Damage enemies with multiple combos, giving Willpower with each hit. 
Light-bringer Charge a sacred spell that does damage to an area of effect and teleports you. At each new charging step, the area of effect and the damage is increased. 
Livor Mortis Summon a Poison Golem. If the golem is summoned again he gives a War Cry that generates Threat. 
Parasite Channel a ray on enemies that affects HP until they are possessed. Once possessed the target gains his HP back. 
Plagueburst Cast an area that curses enemies or summons to explode upon death. When an enemy explodes it leaves an area of effect behind that does Poison Damage. 
Solarfall Summon a damaging area of effect that follows your cursor. 
Tear of Etheliel Ice forms above your enemies and falls down for huge damage. 
Thunderstrike Do electric damage to your enemies by creating bouncing lighting. 
Winter’s Grasp An Ice Nova comes and freezes your enemies. 

 Passive Skills

There are a ton of Wolcen passive skills that refers to character progression by using Skill Points that unlock passive abilities. Passive Skills are divided into three rings with 21 branches. The player can rotate each of the rings to create new paths for their builds. However, if the player has assigned points to a branch and that branch disconnects from the mainline the player will not get any benefits until it reconnects. It is part of the Gate of Fates system used by Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem.

First Ring

The first ring has three branches, Scholar, Sentinel, and the Soldier. Scholar is focused on the Ferocity Attribute.
