While exploring the Gilded Chamber (or The Great Hall) in Remnant 2, you will come across enemies dropping something called The Crimson King Coins. These are basically tributes that you can offer to the Red Prince found at the end of a dungeon. But should you really pay the tribute? And what if you deny it?! In this guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about The Crimson King Coins in Remnant 2.
Remnant 2 The Crimson King Coins
As mentioned earlier, to farm some Crimson King Coins, you will need to head over to the Gilded Chamber in Losomn. Once you are there, keep on defeating Teleport Fae to get some CKCs. However, do note that it is not a one hundred percent drop-rate.
Offering the Tribute
The main purpose of the Crimson King Coins is to offer them as a tribute to the Red Prince found at the end of the area.
If you have at least three CKCs, the Red Prince will instantly kill you. After a while, you will respawn at the World Stone with the Bloody Steel Splinter which can be used to create the Blood Draw — a Weapon Mod. After this choice, there is no way to fight this boss.
However, if you have fewer CKCs, you will have to fight the Red Prince who will drop the Forlorn Fragment. Alternatively, you can simply refuse to pay any tribute and start the fight straightaway.
It is a pretty simple boss. One thing that I have noticed is that some people do not know how to avoid the fire attack that covers the entire area. When you see that attack, make sure to camp in the central platform.
Lastly, if you have any leftover Crimson King Coins, you can trade them for different Relic Fragments at Nightweaver’s Web.
