The entirety of the new VotD raid revolves around a bunch of symbols that are tied to mechanics throughout the entirety of the raid. It is a good idea to memorize these callouts, especially for people who want to use LFG in the future. Destiny 2: Vow of the Disciple Callouts
There are a total of 27 symbols in the raid. These symbols are persistent throughout the entirety of the raid, be it related to encounters, lorebooks, mechanics, etc. Therefore, we do recommend learning these callouts a little to make runs go smoothly.

Lastly, do note that there is absolutely no need to use the callouts shown above. Just use whatever the group is most successful with. We personally used slight variations of these callouts during our Day-1 clear and were fairly successful with them.
