How to Defeat Nidhogg in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – The Forgotten Saga

Nidhogg is a massive dragon in The Forgotten Lands that can prove to be a pain. It spews toxins all around the arena and is generally tough to pin down. In this Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla guide, we have detailed all there is to learn about defeating Nidhogg in The Forgotten Saga expansion.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – The Forgotten Saga Nidhogg

Nidhogg in The Forgotten Saga is a large dragon that feels like something straight out of Elden Ring. It can be found in Urtgardhr Rots. It deals toxic damage that can be lethal if you are not careful.

After the encounter starts, you will need to charge the dragon. Once you are close enough, start to slash away at its legs – these have their individual HP bars. While you are doing this, Nidhogg will continue to spew toxins at you, soar away, etc. Just try not to get attacked, wait for it to settle down, and continue to slash.

Once all 4 legs have been damaged, Nidhogg will fall to the ground and you will have free time to damage it. There will be a glowing spot under its head where you will be able to do a lot of damage. At about 50% HP, it will soar into the air to begin the second phase.

During the second phase, Nidhogg will get a couple of new moves. You should try to see the ground for any red circles and get out of them as soon as possible. In addition to this, you should also try to avoid its beam as it deals a lot of damage. Other than that, it is just a repeat of the previous phase: destroy the legs, deal damage, and defeat Nidhogg. As simple as that!

This is all we have got in how to defeat Nidhogg in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla – The Forgotten Saga. Be sure to see our detailed Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla guides page for more help on the game.
