Early on in Valheim, you will be working with wood mostly but as you progress you will have to unlock the stone building. In this quick guide, I will explain everything you need to know on how to unlock the stone building in Valheim.
Valheim: How to Unlock the Stone Building
The first thing you need for the stone building is stone. Head over to areas like the Meadows and check the ground for stone. They are available in pretty much every biome but a visit to the Meadows will prove more fruitful.
The next step is to craft a stone axe. You need 5x wood and 4x stone to craft the stone axe in Valheim. Use the workbench to craft the ax and then chop down trees for wood if you need any.
To unlock the stone building in Valheim get the stonecutter. If you don’t know already, the Stonecutter is a type of workbench in Valheim. The Stonecutter lets you build walls, floor tiles, floors, and more through the build menu after you have the Stonecutter.
To craft the Stonecutter you need some Iron from the Muddy Scrap Piles in the Swamp. Beat the Elder boss fight to unlock the area. Smelt the Iron to get Iron Ingots. You need the following materials to craft the Stonecutter.
- 2x Iron
- 4x Stone
- 10x Wood
As soon as you build the Stonecutter you’ll unlock the Stone Building. And that’s all you need to know on how to unlock the Stone Building in Valheim. If you need more help with the game, check out how to kill Sea Serpent, how to get queen bee, tools crafting recipes, swamp biome.
