Safehouses are very important in Need for Speed Unbound as this is where you bank your cash and hide from the cops. You do not have access to these from the start of the game and they need to be unlocked. In this Need for Speed Unbound guide, we go over how you can unlock safehouses.

Unlocking Safehouses In Need For Speed Unbound

You will unlock your first safehouse by playing through the initial missions of the game. After the prologue, you will need to unlock additional safehouses by completing missions in which you need to pick up fellow racers and take them to a safehouse while avoiding the cops. Once you drop off these riders at a safehouse, the new safehouse will be unlocked and will pop up on your map.

Having multiple safehouses in different regions of the map is going to come in handy later on in the game when your heat level gets too high and you need to bank your cash. Remember that if you get busted then the police will take all the money that you have on you. Only the cash that you have banked at your safehouse is going to be safe.

Having all the safehouses unlocked gives you the option to head over to the one that is closest to you. It will save you a lot of driving and dodging the cops down the line. That is why we recommend doing these missions and unlocking all the safehouses in the game. These missions can be accepted when you get a call from fellow riders asking you for help. Accept and you will need to pick up the racer and then take them to a safehouse.
