The Outer Worlds Attributes Guide

Attributes in The Outer Worlds are your primary stats. that define your combat prowess, damage bonuses, companions, and skills. There are 6 attributes in total and you select them during the Character Creation screen. Each one of these stats. in The Outer Worlds directly affects a different aspect of the Stranger.

The Outer Worlds Attributes

As mentioned earlier, there are 6 attributes/ stats. in The Outer Worlds. These are:

  1. Strength
  2. Dexterity
  3. Intelligence
  4. Perception
  5. Charm
  6. Temperament

Let’s go over all these attributes one by one, their descriptions, and the skills they affect in The Outer Worlds.

1. Strength
It increases melee damage. Skills affected by it include 1-handed melee, 2-handed melee, heavy weapons, intimidate, inspiration, and block.

2. Dexterity
Dexterity increases the reload speed of ranged weapons and attack speed of melee weapons. It affects 1-handed melee, handguns, block, sneak, lockpick, and dodge skills.

3. Intelligence
Intelligence increases critical hit damage. It affects persuade, hack, medical, science, determination, and long guns.

4. Perception
Perception increases headshot and weak spots damage. It affects handguns, long guns, heavy weapons, dodge, lockpick, and engineering skills.

5. Charm
Charm increases your faction reputation and decreases the cooldown times of companion abilities. It affects persuade, lie, intimidate, hack, science, and inspiration.

6. Temperament
Lastly, this attribute increases your natural HP regeneration. Temperament in The Outer Worlds affects 2-handed melee, lie, sneak, medical, engineering, and determination skills.
