Paraglider is one of the most useful tools you can use in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You need to have it if you wish to have any fun while exploring Hyrule. Luckily, it does not take long and you will have your hands on it in the first couple of hours, provided you do a few things. In this guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about getting the Paraglider in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Paraglider
In order to unlock the Paraglider as early as possible, you will need to head toward the Lookout Landing immediately after you exit the Temple of Time. Lookout Landing is essentially a hub with a couple of NPCs, vendors, etc. Once there, you will need to speak to an NPC named Purah. This will start a new quest called Crisis at Hyrule Castle.
For this quest, you will need to speak with Captain Hoz at a location nearby. From there, you will need to return to Purah who will ask you to explore the Lookout Landing. After you have explored the area a bit, you will need to head over to the nearest Skyview Tower near the northwest edge of the Lookout Landing.
This is where Purah will introduce you to these Skyview Towers which are similar to Synchronization Points from Assassin’s Creed games which can be used as a means to Fast Travel in the game. This is where you will also receive the Paraglider as a gift from Purah.
As mentioned earlier, the Paraglider allows you to glide your way down from any height without taking any damage as long as you open it before landing. You can also combine it with the new Ascent ability to explore otherwise inaccessible areas. It is also very handy when it comes to exploring Sky Islands.
This is how you get the Paraglider in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. For more help on the game, check out our guides on starting a fire, making money, and getting horses.
