The Division 2 Flamethrower Specialization is coming to with the release of Episode 3: Firewall. The powerful new specialization does incredible damage up close and personal. The flamethrower is able to take on enemies by firing an arc of flame dealing fire damage and applying the burn effect to your enemies nearby.
According to Ubisoft, the Flamethrower specialization can pair up nicely with a Striker Shield skill mod, that will allow you to use the new specialization with a Shield. The Shield will make sure you are buffed for additional damage, however, it also extends who buffs to your teammates taking cover behind it.
Just like other The Division 2 specializations, the Flamethrower also comes with a tree and a new sidearm, the Firestarter sawed-off shotgun.
How to Unlock the Flamethrower Specialization
There are two ways to unlock the specialization when it releases. Players can either immediately access it by getting the year 1 season pass or get the flamethrower pack from the in-game store for Premium Credits.
Players interested in the Firewall Specialization access and earnable cosmetic rewards, can either secure it through the Year 1 Pass, or purchase a Firewall ‘Specialization Pack’ for Premium Credits on the in-game store. This entitles them to the same benefits for the Firewall Specialization.
If you don’t wish to spend money or Premium Credits you must wait for 7 days before the Flamethrower Specialization unlocks for you. Keep in mind that no matter what you do, you all have to complete the in-game challenges associated with specialization if you don’t own the year-1 pass. You can upgrade to the year-1 pass at any point. The pass gives you 7-days early access to specializations and episodes as well as some cosmetic items.
The Flamethrower Specialization is coming to The Division 2 sometime in February 2020. The new content also includes Episode 3 that releases next month as well on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
