How to Find Animals in Terra Nil

  • Build the Animal Observatory
  • Utilize the Scanner
  • Understand Animal Descriptions
  • Analyze Scan Logs
  • Create Suitable Habitats

Build the Animal Observatory

Upon reaching the third phase of the level, you will gain access to the Animal Observatory. Locate this building in the 3rd building tab and construct it. This structure does not require electricity, making it a convenient addition to your ecosystem. Once completed, you will be able to use a scanner to search for animals.

Utilize the Scanner

With the Animal Observatory in place, you can now use the scanner tool to find animals. To do this, open the animal menu located in the top left corner of the screen. Select an animal species that you wish to attract to your environment. After making your selection, click on the scanner (C-like symbol) and then click on the terrain where you would like to search for the animal. Experiment with different combinations to find the right match for your chosen species.

Understand Animal Descriptions

Before attempting to create habitats for your chosen animals, it’s essential to read their descriptions. This will provide valuable information about each species’ specific needs and preferences, helping you create the perfect habitat for their survival and growth.

Analyze Scan Logs

The game offers logs of your last three scans, allowing you to assess the suitability of a location for your chosen species. A yellow circle indicates that the habitat requirements are partially met, while a green circle means that they are fully met. If you see an “Outdated” message, it signifies that other animals already occupy the terrain, and you cannot introduce another species there.

Create Suitable Habitats

Keep in mind that animals cannot share the same space in Terra Nil. When creating habitats for predators, ensure that their territory overlaps with their prey’s habitat, but only by a border of one tile—not more. This will allow for a balanced ecosystem where predators can hunt, and prey species can still thrive.

That’s everything you need to know about animal habitats and how to find animals in Terra Nil. We also have some useful tips to get you started so do give that a read as well.
