Tales of Arise Fishing Tips

Fishing is a fun mini-game in Tales of Arise with a lot of different uses. In this Tales of Arise guide, we have detailed all there is to know about fishing, unlocking it, and some tips to help the player with it.

Tales of Arise Fishing Tips

Fishing is a mini-game in Tales of Arise. It becomes available after reaching the Talka Pond Road. With over 40 types of fish that can be caught in 12 different locations, it is needless to say that the player can spend a lot of time fishing in Tales of Arise.

Fish caught by the player can be used in cooking, sold for Gald, and complete the Fishing Notes at the Fishing Expert. In addition to this, there are 2 trophies named Skilled Angler and Godly Angler that are related to fishing in the game.

To start fishing, cast the lure and press the fish-specific button combination – it can be seen by pressing Y/Triangle before casting the lure. Once the lure is bitten, the player needs to move the left stick in the opposite direction of where the fish is swimming in. Another thing to keep in mind is to make sure that the bar remains in the green section. Also, make sure to press the buttons as shown on the screen (QTEs) in order to drain the fish’s stamina – some fish types have more stamina than the others.

Below, we have shared some tips to help the player catch fish a little easier:

  • Observe the water before casting the line. Fish jumping out of water or the shadows cast by the fish can help the player determine where to cast the line.
  • Always pay attention to the rhythm appearing at the top-left of the screen. Try to tug once the outer circle coincides with the inner one.
  • It is important to successfully complete the QTEs as they appear on the screen. Failing to do so will result in the fish breaking free.

This is all we have got in our Tales of Arise Fishing Tips. For more help on the game, be sure to check out our detailed Tales of Arise wiki page.
