Ninja has moved from Twitch to stream exclusively on Mixer but his old Twitch channel was used to promote other channels and streamers. One of the recommended streams contained explicit content and Ninja was not happy about that at all, his wife even went on to say that Twitch is trying to kill the brand that Ninja has worked so hard to build from the ground up.

Ninja is the most popular Fortnite streamer in the world but he is also a brand. Even though he has moved to Mixer his Twitch channel still gets a lot of traffic. It makes sense that Twitch would use that and try to divert that traffic to other streamers in order to keep the views coming.

Porn Was Recommended On Ninja’s Twitch Channel

It is clear that there was no check and balance when it came to which streams were recommended and explicit adult content was recommended on Ninjas old Twitch channel. This upset the streamer badly.

Ninja shared his disgust, anger and disappointment and he apologized to the fans. He did mention that he had no say in the matter and that he is the only person that no longer streams on Twitch, whose profile is being used to recommend other streams. Here is what he had to say regarding the matter:

I’ve been streaming for eight years, to build that brand and to build my channel. They were still using my channel to promote other streamers. Now, there was a porn account that was number 1, being recommended on my channel.

He mentioned that he is working on taking down his own Twitch channel so that this does not happen in the future. Twitch’s Chief Executive Officer Emmett Shear responded to all this by mentioning the following:

Our community comes to Twitch looking for live content. To help ensure they find great, live channels we’ve been experimenting with showing recommended content across Twitch, including on streamer’s pages that are offline.

Ninja has already pointed out that he is the only streamer that is offline that is getting recommendations to other streams on his channel and calling this an experiment is the oldest trick in the book.

Twitch Ninja Brand

We have seen developers label a broken game as being in beta before and we have seen plenty of so-called experiments in the past. I am sure that fans can see through this nonsense. Twitch is clearly trying to control the damage at this point. Shear went on to mention the following:

This helps all streamers as it creates new community connections. However, the lewd content that appeared on the ninja offline channel page grossly violates our terms of service, and we’ve permanently suspended the account in question.

So Twitch is using the traffic that Ninja brings to the platform that he has left and is trying to retain it by recommending the same viewers to other streamers. Calling the content lewd would be an understatement I would call it something else entirely. He did mention that the recommendations have been removed, so it turned out to be a failed experiment if you can even call it that to start with. Shear did apologize to Ninja and he mentioned the following:

On a more personal note, I apologize want to apologize directly to ninja that this happened. It wasn’t our intent, but it should not have happened. No excuses.

Ninja’s Wife Is Not Buying It

Ninja’s wife is not happy at all and she thinks that an apology is not enough. She even went on to say that Twitch is trying to kill the Ninja brand. Here is she had to say regarding the matter:

Twitch is doing PR control right now but it seems their intent from the beginning was to try to kill Ninja brand. They say promoting other channels on his page wasn’t of ill-intent, but here is a Twitch co-founder saying RIP with a winky face to Tyler’s transition. Petty

No one is pleased with all this. Ninja is disappointed his wife is upset and so are the fans. Twitch has already been under a lot of heat due to other controversies but things seem to be getting out of hand really fast.

If you are interested in learning more about Ninja then you can check out our article on how much Ninja was paid to stream exclusively on Mixer. Interestingly, Dr Disrespect is also interested in moving to Mixer.

Dr Disrespect shared his thoughts on the Alinity and Twitch drama that has been going on for the last couple of days. He was asked to share his thoughts by a donator and he made it clear that the only Twitch streamer that he cared about was himself.

He mentioned that the Alinity drama that has taken over the internet does not affect him and that is the main reason why he does not care. Here is what he had to say regarding the matter:

What are your thoughts on Anility… Anility… Anihilated and her situation? Like I said, I don’t really care. I’m not the other people who for whatever reason care so much about other people’s situations.

He did mention that Twitch is inconsistent and that the platform is favoring Alinity but DR Disrespected stressed that he is not affected by the situation so he does not really care what happens.

Dr Disrespect Alinity Twitch

This is the two time Dr Disrespect that we are talking about here, what did you really expect? He went on to mention the following:

If there is a level of inconsistency coming from the platform and favoritism that affects me personally, then that’s an issue. Honestly, as far as I’m concerned, I don’t even care. I don’t. I don’t even know who it is, who is that? You’re looking at the face! Like, I don’t even care! You think I’m concerned about that? Should be focused on me!

We love Dr Disrespect and he does have a point here. Whether or not Alinity gets banned from Twitch is a hot topic right now but Dr Disrespect simply is not bothered.

It turns out that Pewdiepie exposed Twitch for favoring Alinity more than a year ago. The Creative Director of Twitch has also shared his opinion and he wants Alinity banned from the platform. We will let you know more about the story as it progresses, so stay tuned for more information.

Twitch streamer Alinity has done some controversial stuff in the past. The most recent controversy that has got people angry is animal abuse. Alinity was seen throwing her cat across the room during her Twitch stream and she has also been caught spitting Vodka into her cat’s mouth. Twitch has not commented on the matter or taken any action but the Creative Director of the platform did break the silence and shared his opinion.

Update 5: Saskatoon SPCA has posted its findings after investigating Alinity. You can check out the findings below:

Alinity Twitch

While the agency has provided its findings, people are not satisfied with the outcome. Many claimed that Alinity may have faked how she treats her pets when the agency was conducting its investigation. That could be possible.

Update 4: Pewdiepie exposed Twitch for giving Alinity special treatment more than a year ago. If you go back and watch the video now, it makes a lot of sense. He pointed out back then that she has never been suspended from the platform and how that is one of the issues. If Alinity did get a strike from Twitch then things would be different today.

Update 3: It seems that Alinity has some dirt on the Twitch staff and that is why she had not been banned from the platform yet. YouTuber Keemstar is going to reveal why no action is being taken against the Twitch Streamer. He mentioned the following in a recent Twitter post:

I know the dirt you have on these Twitch staff Alinity! You won’t have that dirt forever. I’m about to drop it! Dear Twitch staff hire your divorce attorneys now!

Keemstart mentioned that he is not sure whether Alinity is blackmailing the Twitch staff but he has confirmed that she does have some dirt on them. This is very interesting indeed.

Update 2: Communications co-ordinator for the Saskatoon SPCA Jasmine Hanson has mentioned that the society is looking for Alinity. Here is her statement according to local radio station ‘650 CKOM‘:

Right now, we’re just trying to identify the individual and locate her address. The reason this is so important is because if we want to investigate the situation, we obviously have to identify the person, and usually a social media profile isn’t enough to go on.

Saskatoon-based thinks that the streamer is in the city but if she is not then other agencies will be contacted. Hanson mentioned that such cases are hard to prove because of the lack of evidence but Alinity has abused her cat live on Twitch so that does make the case much more interesting.

Quite often it’s very difficult for us to prove cases of neglect or cruelty because we don’t have something such as video evidence, so this case is quite unique in that way.

Alinity has contacted the SPCA. She claims that the agency will come to her house to clear the complaints against her. The following is her Tweet regarding the matter:

Update 1: It seems that Alinity has been in talks with someone at Twitch and the spokesperson told her that she will not be banned from the platform. A screenshot recently posted on r/LiveStreamFail claims that Alinity mentioned the following during a Twitch live stream:

Don’t worry guys I’m fine. I spoke to someone at Twitch today and I’m not getting banned. But, people who have been harassing me might be.

Alinity claims that the screenshot is fake and posted the following tweet:

The original story is as follows:

The Creative Director of Twitch is not the first to get involved with the issue. Many Twitch Streamers, celebrities and even PETA have commented on the matter and there is a petition online to get Alinity banned from Twitch. At the time of this writing, the number of signatures is approaching 15000.

Twitch Creative Director mentioned that he cannot ban Alinity from Twitch but as a cat owner, he feels deeply hurt and wants her banned from the platform. Here is what he had to say regarding the matter:

As a cat owner, I’m very upset over the recent news. I am also someone who does not have moderation powers or enforcement. Just like I can’t fix your subscriptions. I want to see a ban. I do not want to be harassed because you think that’s the right thing to do.

Popular IRL streamer Jenna mentioned that if a man had abused a cat on Twitch he would have been banned by now. It seems that the platform is biased and offers special treatment to female streamers.

Alinity Twitch

Streamer Kaceytron also joined in and mentioned that prior to this “Kneecoleslaw” was banned for a year for animal abuse. Keeping that in mind Twitch has taken no action against Alinity and is yet to address this.

But Alinity has responded to the issue and claimed that her cat has a warm and safe home. She claimed that it was all a “lapse in judgment.” It will be interesting to see what kind of action Twitch takes against this streamer.

We will keep you updated regarding how this story progresses, so stay tuned for more information and news regarding Twitch streamer Alinity.
