Bungie’s Destiny 2 finding a new home on Valve’s Steam is something the developer has continuously talked about since its separation with Activision Blizzard. Starting Aug. 20th, Guardians across the solar system will be able to migrate to Steam. It’s obviously a daunting process, especially for Guardians who have poured in hundreds and thousands of hours trying to farm their favorite Legendaries, Exotics, and cosmetic items. Bungie, however, has promised a smooth and hassle-free migration process. Let’s look at everything you need to know about transferring your Destiny 2 copy from Battle.Net to Steam.

Transfer Destiny 2 from Battle.Net to Steam

Before we begin, let’s talk about things you’ll be able to transfer alongside your characters:

  • Weapons, Armor, Exotics
  • Triumphs, Titles, Seals
  • Purchased Silver and Bright Dust
  • Cosmetic items including Ghost Shells, Sparrows, Emblems, Shaders

Another major change that you need to know about is that once Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launches, you won’t be able to dismantle your cosmetics to get Bright Dust. This is something Bungie is removing so if you’ve certain cosmetics that you won’t ever use, try dismantling it before Oct. 1st when Shadowkeep launches.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will also launch alongside a free-to-play version of the game called Destiny 2: New Light which will come with Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, Leviathan Raids & its Lairs, and CoO and Warmind campaigns. Other than that, you’ll need to purchase separate expansions if you wish to experience Forsaken and Shadowkeep content. With that out of the way, let’s talk about the actual migration process.

Bungie has set up an official blogpost on its official website that details basically all you need to know about transferring to Steam. One important thing that you need to know is that Destiny 2 won’t be available on Battle.Net after Oct. 1st so that you need to make sure that you complete the migration process before that or you won’t be able to complete it later.

We’ll make sure to update this page on Aug. 20th when we get more info. alongside some FAQs to help you out.

Solstice Of Heroes 2019 event is live in Destiny 2. Like the previous year, you get a low-level armor that you can upgrade. This year the armor has a twist. Bungie has confirmed that Majestic Solstice of Heroes sets will be the first Armor 2.0 pieces players can get. You will also be able to farm these in the upcoming Shadowkeep expansion. In this Destiny 2 Solstice Of Heroes 2019 Guide, we are going to walk you through how you can upgrade the armor to the max.

To have your set ready, you will need to upgrade it to Majestic for at least one class. You can do it for all your characters. It is a lot of grind, so keep that in mind. Destiny 2 Solstice Of Heroes 2019 event has some new activities and buffs that you can take advantage of as well. The upcoming Shadowkeep expansion will be available for free with Google Stadia, later this year. Cross-play is also coming to the game in the future.

Destiny 2 Solstice Of Heroes 2019 Activities

The following are the different activities that you can take part in and the buffs that you can obtain.

European Aerial Zone

This is the new activity in Destiny 2 Solstice Of Heroes 2019. It takes place in a new area in the EDZ but you can access it from the Tower. To complete the activity you need to kill as many mini-bosses as possible in the time limit.

Once you do that you need to take down the final boss. After that, you will return to the European Aerial Zone. You will have the chance to hunt for treasure. The more bosses you defeat the more chests you can unlock.

Elemental Orbs

Destiny 2 Solstice Of Heroes 2019 also has a daily elemental burn. This changes every day. This burn will enhance your subclass type. Killing enemies with elemental energy will drop Elemental Orbs. You can collect 30 orbs that match the burn of the day in order to gain an active power buff that varies according to the element. The details of the buff are as follows:

  • Equip your Arc subclass and weapons to generate Arc orbs. Then, collect them to wield their Arc elemental power. While empowered, Guardians move with enhanced speed and deal greater melee and Sword damage.
  • Equip your Solar subclass and weapons to generate Solar orbs. Then, collect them to wield their Solar elemental power. While empowered, Guardians emit a burning wave of energy that damages anything around them.
  • Equip your Void subclass and weapons to generate Void orbs. Then, collect them to wield their Void elemental power. Crouch while empowered to become invisible and gain Truesight plus enhanced ability regeneration.

Destiny 2 Solstice Of Heroes 2019

This marks the end of our Destiny 2 Solstice Of Heroes 2019 Guide. Eyes Guardian!

Reviews for Ryzen 3000 desktop CPUs have started to pour in as the CPUs are now available in the market. These AMD CPUs offer performance gains not only compared to previous Ryzen CPUs but, also on latest Intel CPUs including the Core i9-9900K. Despite the performance leap, Ryzen 3000 CPUs, for some reason, aren’t running Destiny 2.

This means that CPUs like Ryzen 7 3700X and Ryzen 7 3950X, despite having increased core/thread count compared to Intel, aren’t able to run Destiny 2.

Players report that as they launch the game, it just shows up briefly in the Task Manager and then just vanishes. Also, the issue isn’t just with one or two CPUs from the line-up but is consistent with all AMD Ryzen 3000 CPUs.

Most of the Ryzen CPUs would have probably been bought by gamers. It’s ironic that many of them aren’t currently able to play their favorite game.

This doesn’t mean the CPUs are faulty, it’s probably just a matter of compatibility. Hopefully, this will be fixed with a patch. Also, Bungie has noted that it’s investigating why the Destiny 2 isn’t running on Ryzen 3000 CPUs.

AMD latest lineup of Ryzen CPUs is based on its 7nm Zen 2 architecture. But, that isn’t the only product powered by Zen 2. We know that both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Scarlett feature a custom AMD APU based on a variant of Zen 2 architecture.

If the performance gains are any indicators then PS5 and Xbox Scarlett will be powerful consoles and won’t be bottlenecked by a weak CPU. Furthermore, both consoles also feature Navi graphics with support for real-time Ray Tracing.

While AMD is making progress in the CPU market by leaps and bounds, the story is a bit different in the GPU sector. Nvidia is currently the king of the GPU market and AMD is lagging behind.

However, AMD is the first among the two to introduce 7nm GPUs but, Nvidia still claims that its 12nm Turing architecture is still the most efficient GPU. Nvidia claims Turing architecture’s performance per watt advantage is quite evident over its competitor.

If you are interested in checking out the benchmarks of the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 then be sure to check out our numbers.

It seems like Bungie is, at last, trying to make dedicated Healers/Supports more viable in Destiny 2. It started off with Dawnblade’s Attunement of Grace tree which essentially revolves around healing and empowering allies. The most recent Exotic Quest for D2 Annual Pass owners in the Season of Opulence is for an Exotic Hand Cannon named Lumina. Let’s talk about everything you need to do in order to unlock Lumina in Destiny 2: Forsaken, complete quest steps, and weapon perks it comes with.

Destiny 2 Lumina Quest

In a nutshell, Lumina is all about healing and empowering your fireteam as evident from its weapon perks. Lumina quest is fairly elaborate, comprising of multiple steps that you need to complete in order to unlock it. But before we get to that, let’s talk about Lumina weapon perks:

Noble Rounds
Kills with this weapon leave Remnants. Absorbing a Remnant converts your next hipfired shot into an ally-seeking Noble Round and partially refills the magazine.

Blessing of the Sky
Using a Noble Round on an ally heals them and grants both you and them a weapon damage bonus for a short duration.

You should already be able to tell that Lumina will be fairly powerful in both PvP and PvE. When playing in a full fireteam, it could potentially serve as a mobile Healing/Empowering Rift, allowing you to empower your teammates in Crucible for some easy one-shot potential. With that out of the way, let’s talk about Destiny 2 Lumina Quest steps:

Step #1 – Find the Transmat

To locate the Transmat, you need to head over to Trostland landing zone on European Dead Zone (EDZ) and head a little north toward the Salt Mines. Continue into the mines and you should be able to spot the Transmat. Interact with the Transmat to teleport to a new location with a purple barrier nearby.

What you’re looking for is a chest with “A Fateful Gift” quest step inside. If you’ve already done the ‘Thorn’ quest, the chest is in the Pile of Ashes – exactly where you find Thorn. If you haven’t done the ‘Thorn’ quest, move alongside the broken railing near the purple barrier and you should see a small opening in the rocks above. A few leaves cover so it can be a little hard to see.

Once you’re inside the alcove, go all the way to the back to find the chest with the next quest step.

Step #2 – Finding the Chest

This step is on a timer (approx. an hour) and is subject to change. If it expires, head over to Werner to pick it up again. As for the chest itself, it can spawn in a few different locations. I’ve listed all the known locations as of now but do note that your chest can spawn somewhere else too though I find it highly unlikely. Regardless, I’ll continue to update this page with more locations.

Chest Location #1 – Sector 13 EDZ
Head inside Shaft 13 Lost Sector on EDZ and it should appear in one of the rooms upstairs.

Chest Location #2 – High Plains, Tangled Shore
The chest can also spawn in the High Plains on The Tangled Shore. You need to take a hard left immediately after entering the High Plains and travel toward the last floating rock. Look to your right and you should see an alcove under a large rock. You need to head inside the alcove to find the chest.

Chest Location #3 – Spine of Keras, Dreaming City
Another location where the chest can spawn is in Spine of Keras in the Dreaming City. You need to get to the highest bridge in the area and jump off to one of the islands. The chest should be right next to a tree. You can also check the map location below, courtesy of Astraeus023:

Destiny 2 Lumina
Chest Location #4 – Sinking Docks, Titan
If you’re still unlucky, head over to Sinking Docks on Titan. You need to head over to the area where you chase the thief in Thief of Thieves Adventure. It should be below the stairs on the right side. Check the image, courtesy of Monthius:

Destiny 2 Lumina
Chest Location #5 – Excavation Site, Io
You need to head over to Excavation Site 2 on Io and go as far as you can toward a large glass window at the end of a room. The chest should appear there.

Chest Location #6 – The Mists, Nessus
You need to go to The Mists on Nessus, the place where the Insight Terminus takes place. Continue to follow the path until you come to a room with a gap in the center. Jump over the gap and get to the right side of the area. A little ahead, jump down to come across a hidden area you can get in. Continue to follow the path and you’ll find the chest at the end.

Chest Location #7 – Alton Dynamo
You can also get a chest from Alton Dynamo. When you’re asked to go to the server room or the Valkyrie Forge, head left into the first room. Once inside, head up the vent where you can also find a Memory Node and head to the opposite side of the room’s entrance to find the chest.

Chest Location #8 – Mercury
The chest can also spawn on little side areas on Mercury during Public Events – near the Region Chest. You should be able to access it while triggering the Heroic Public Event though some classes should be able to make it without the need to turn the event into Heroic. You can also check the image, courtesy of TooBoo4U:

Destiny 2 Lumina
As you can tell, there are a lot of places where the chest can spawn. As I mentioned earlier, I’ll continue to add more locations as the community discovers them.

Step #3 – Bearer of Evil’s Past

For this step, you’re required to generate 250 Orbs of Light. This one is fairly simple! All you need to do is to grab your favorite Masterwork Weapon, start Blind Well, and kill everything in sight. Try to play with a fireteam to do it even faster.

Step #4 – Rose, Revealed

At this point, you’ll receive the Rose Hand Cannon which transforms into Lumina. Alongside Rose, you’ll also receive three quest steps which, upon completion, will unlock Rose’s weapon perks. These quest steps are:

  1. Band Together: Complete a Nightfall strike with a score of 50,000 or higher.
  2. Defend the Light: Defeat multiple enemy combatants in a row without reloading your weapon.
  3. Face the Hordes: Complete encounters at the Blind Well, at any of the Black Armory forges, or in Escalation Protocol.

Band Together is fairly easy! You need to have the 2.5x bonus, check the singes, and use Blackout, Extinguish, and MatchGame for easy 50K. Make sure to complete the Nightfall and don’t leave after hitting 50K. As for Defend the Light, you can use Riskrunner with Phoenix if you’re a Warlock or just use Huckleberry if you have it. Finally, for Face the Hordes, just run Heroic Blind Wells and chain kills.

Step #5 – Fireteam Leader

For this one, you can do anything you want with Rose equipped: bounties, Strikes, etc. However, if you want to speed things up, start up the Lake of Shadows, only kill the door mini-bosses, kill the boss at the end, repeat. You can also run Menagerie with six Guardians with Rose for 35% per run or the Volundr Black Forge with three people for 12% but the Lake of Shadows is easily the fastest method.

Step #6 – Strength in Numbers

For this step, you need to generate 35 Orbs of Light, get upto 100% Guardian kills with a Hand Cannon, and defeat Invaders in Gambit before they kill any of your teammates.

Generating 35 Orbs of Light is a no-brainer. Just head into Blind Well and complete it. For the second step, start Quick Play in Crucible and rack kills with a Hand Cannon. It shouldn’t take you more than 3-4 matches if you’re an average PvP player. You can also use Rose to speed up the process. Where other Hand Cannons give 1%, Rose gives 4% so it’s worth a try!

Finally, for the Gambit part, you can message the other team that you’re trying to get Lumina. If they’re good or trying to get Lumina themselves, this step should become a breeze. Do note that you only need 1 kill within 10 seconds of any invasion. If they invade you, kill them before they kill any of your teammates. If you’re feeding the invader, just invade and don’t kill anyone on the opposing team.

Since the quest just appeared, people are more than welcome to help. Have faith in the community!

Step #7 – Bloom

For the final step of the Lumina quest, you need to shoot 11 crystals floating in the air (there are plenty for everyone in the fireteam) with Rose in the Will of the Thousands strike. Once you’re done shooting 11 crystals with Rose, simply kill Xol for the Rose to be consumed by it and obtain Lumina in return.

This is pretty much all there’s to Lumina Exotic Quest in Destiny 2: Forsaken. Heal away, Guardians!

GuardianCon 2019 Charity Marathon Benefiting St Jude Children’s Research Hospital is taking place right now. Bungie managed to raise $400,000 in a small time frame of 4 hours for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The gaming community has come together for a noble cause and it is great to watch.

The annual marathon is taking place between June 16 through June 23. At the time of writing, the $2.7 million of the $3 million goals has been achieved and with another day remaining, it seems like the goal is going to be surpassed this year as well.

Bungie’s four-hour block was the single largest in the history of the event. The block comprised of Bungie playing Destiny 2 with members of the community. Other Destiny 2 players and YouTubers also created awareness to the cause. One of my favorite Destiny 2 creators MyNameIsByf was also part of the charity.

GuardianCon 2019 Charity Marathon

Last year the goal of the charity was $2.4 million and it raised $2.8 million. From the current numbers, it is safe to say that the goal will be surpassed this year as well. This is not the first time that Bungie and Destiny 2 players have donated to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. MyNameIsByf has taken part in this charity a couple of times and has raised awareness for some time now.

You can check out the GuardianCon 2019 website to learn more about the event. You can also donate to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

It is amazing to see what the gaming community is capable of. What Bungie and the gaming community have done for charity is no small feat. I hope to see acts of kindness like this in the future as well. The developer has teased cross-play for Destiny 2, so be sure to learn more about that as well.

Now that Bungie is separate from Activision it has a lot of control over its own Destiny. the developer has already announced that the game will move to Steam. Players are getting the new Shadowkeep expansion in September. A lot has been announced for Destiny 2 and the developer has teased cross-play as well. Cross-save is a feature that Bungie confirmed recently. So cross-play could be the next big move the developer makes.

Bungie’s Mark Noseworthy teased cross-play in destiny 2 and here is what he had to say:

Cross-play is definitely a part of achieving that total vision, but this year, in terms of what we could afford to do – there’s technology, policy, and then there’s time and resources. Cross-save is the things people have been screaming about the most, and that we want the most. We have a lot of people that want to play on multiple consoles and platforms.

Noseworthy Tweeted that cross-play is a feature that devs have been talking about for Destiny 2. He mentioned that plans are being made around it. This is a major tease and cross-play for Destiny 2 has been all but confirmed.

The upcoming Shadowkeep expansion is going to be a stand-alone one. Players will not need the Forsaken Expansion to buy it. Bungie also announced that year 1 content will be available for free. New players can do different activities with friends for free. They can decide later whether they want to pay or other content later. If players want to play Forsaken then they can buy that. Otherwise, they could buy Shadowkeep and continue from there.

Bungie has also confirmed that PS4 will no longer get exclusive content. The upcoming expansion will have some major changes. More RPG elements will appear in Destiny 2. Armor and gear mods are being changed so that you can wear armor that looks great. Destiny 2 Shadowkeep will also offer new weapons, gear, activities and a new raid. Bungie has confirmed that the new raid takes place in the Black gardens.

Let us know what you think about Bungie teasing cross-play for Destiny 2 and whether this is a feature you that are interested in.
