Gem Stones are late-game resources that you will need in order to repair high-level tools or to create fast travel points on the map. In this Survivalists guide, we are going to go over how you can get Gem Stones in the game.
How To Get Gem Stones In Survivalists
You can only find gem stones in the volcanic biome. In order to get there you re going to need a raft, sail, and cold water jars. Build a raft and sail in order to get to the volcanic island. The game is procedurally generated so we cannot tell you exactly where you need to go. This is something that you are going to have to figure out on your own.
The volcanic biome has strong enemies and high temperatures making it very dangerous. You will need storage chests, food, weapons and cold water. Make sure you have these before heading out. The cold water is going to give you a buff against the heat. The heat is going to bother you on the black sand parts of the beach. These are marked on the map. You can walk around then to avoid taking damage.
Gem Stones are found as shiny red rocks. The nodes are black. Light picks are going to come in handy to mine them. Gem Stones are strong and will require a higher number of hits. Luckily the light picks are pretty durable and will get the job done. The nodes drop 3-4 Gem Stones each.
Gem Stones are going to help you with teleporters and high-end tools. Teleporters let you fast travel on the map. So you can get from one area to another area fairly quickly.
