After you meet B-12 in Stray, its memories are missing, and each chapter in the game features some memories for you to recover. In total, there are 27 memories for you to find.
Memories play a huge role in explaining some of the back stories of B-12 and how the world around our Stray cat works. In this guide, we will go through each Memory location in Stray.
Stray Memory Locations
Memory Location #1: The first memory is found in chapter 3, The Flat. It is part of the main story, and B-12 picks it up automatically.
Memory Location #2: In chapter 4, The Slums, at the start of the chapter, turn right to go up some stairs where you will find a vending machine and a memory.
Memory Location #3: In chapter 4, upstairs in Elliot Programming near the plants.
Memory Location #4: In chapter 4, scratch the blinds upstairs to access the window and leave Elliot Programming. Jump down and enter the bar, head upstairs and find a memory on the table.
Memory Location #5: Leave the bar from the last memory by using the upstairs window, jump the roofs on the side street and reach the rooftop. Cross over to the building with a round arrow on it. The roof behind the sign interacts with the dead robot for the next memory.
Memory Location #6: Exit Zbaltazar’s apartment through the window, and below, you should see a robot mural on the wall. Interact with it to get the next memory.
Memory Location #7: In chapter 4, in Momo’s apartment, interact with the poster behind him next to the bed.
Memory Location #8: You can buy memory from the marketplace for 3x Energy Drinks.
Memory Location #9: In chapter 5, The Rooftops climb up after the second Zurk group. A neon sign in front will help you get the memory.
Memory Location #10: In a Zurk-infested building, go to the second, go past the fenced area and interact with the sign in the corner.
Memory Location #11: Attach the Transceiver to the Antenna as part of the main story in chapter 5.
Memory Location #12: Meet Seamus in chapter 7, go through the door and head left. Go to the end and interact with the wall.
Memory Location #13: In chapter 7, after the Zurk chase, climb the truck and jump on the wall. Go through the ally and head straight, enter the hole in the fence, and turn right where you find the memory.
Memory Location #14: In chapter 7, meet the Doc and interact with the mannequin to get the memory.
Memory Location #15: When you get off the boat in the sewers the second time, Momo opens the door. In the next area, climb the bridge and access the corridor to the left. Go past the Zurk Pods and climb the tube. Follow the path and climb the railing at the end for the memory.
Memory Location #16: In chapter 8, The Sewers, enter the dark caves with big red eyes and Zurk Pods. Exit the cave and jump on the pipe, head left and onto another small pipe, and jump on the two barrels in the water to reach the pipe opening to find the memory.
Memory Location #17: In chapter 9, you get a memory after the first cut-scene as part of the main story.
Memory Location #18: In chapter 9, go up a building where you meet Zbaltazar, head down the ladders where you came from, and locate the robot sitting on a couch with a memory next to it.
Memory Location #19: In chapter 10, Midtown, you get memory as part of the main story at the train station.
Memory Location #20: From the last memory, go through the train and enter the fence through the hole. Turn right to find the next memory.
Memory Location #21: In chapter 10, when you enter Midtown, enter the alley next to the yellow to the right, and you will find a robot sweeping the floor with a broom. Climb the green dumpster in the back and go all the way up to the roof by claiming ACs. On the roof, you will find another memory.
Memory Location #22: You can exit the roof of the last memory by using the bucket lift. Go out of the red ally and turn left from the next street and enter the first shop on the left. Use the window to enter the Barber Shop. Use the couch to reach the attic where the next memory is.
Memory Location #23: Exit the shop and enter the Restaurant across the street next to the robot laying on the couch. Climb the wall behind the chef and go through the hole in the ceiling where the memory is.
Memory Location #24: In chapter 10, you will have to push a switch in the Factory to open the gate. From the switch, go to the end of the corridor, where you will see a red laser grid. Turn on the robot and park it at the fence on the left. Climb on top of the robot to go over the fence where you will find another robot. Open the fence door and put one robot on the right pad and the second on the left pad; now roll the barrel on the middle pad. Get the battery and leave the factory using the bucket lift. Now you must backtrack to the market square and enter the yellow shop near the giant robot hologram. Inside the shop is another memory.
Memory Location #25: In chapter 10, when you reach Clementine’s apartment, get the clue from the cupboard, and interact with the mannequin in the bathroom, and the purple lamp on the living room table. Now scratch the pink cloth and climb up to get the tray. Go to the kitchen and interact with the lava lamp to Clementine’s location. Exit the apartment and enter the first ally to the left where the sweeping robot Albert is; go up the green dumpster and reach the blue roof. Head right and speak with the robot looking through the window to access the nightclub. Climb on the counter behind the bartender to activate the lift to access the basement where the final memory of this chapter is.
Memory Location #26: In chapter 11, you will reach a yard with plants where you have to lock a robot into a storage room after you reunite with B-12. When you get access to the next section, you’ll get the memory.
Memory Location #27: The final memory is part of the main story in chapter 12.
