Need for Speed Unbound like previous games in the franchise have you pick a car and start your racing career from nothing. There are three starter cars to choose from and they are not the same, so which one should you pick? In this Need for Speed Unbound guide, we go over which starter car you should choose.
Picking The Right Starter Car In Need For Speed Unbound
Need For Speed Unbound presents you with the following options for your first car:
- 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
- 1988 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary
- 1998 Nissan Silvia K’s
All three are classic cars but they have not aged too well and they are all different. The 1988 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary might look the best and is very fast indeed, it does not have the best off-road capabilities. It does not have the highest horsepower of the bunch either. It is still a strong option if you are planning on sticking to the streets and are not going off-road or drifting.
The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is a great pick for drifting. It has a lot of horsepower but it has the lowest top speed. The 1998 Nissan Silvia K’s has the highest top speed of the bunch but it is only slightly higher than the 1988 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary. The Nissan does not get to 60 as fast either.
All things considered, if you are sticking to the streets and not off-roading then the 1988 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary is a solid option. If you are interested in drifting then you can go with either the 1998 Nissan Silvia K’s or the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T.
I personally would go with the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T, since I love muscle cars and I will not be hitting that top speed most of the time. It is great for drifting and is a classic muscle car. Plus you can always upgrade your ride as you progress through the game.
This is what you need to know about the starter car that you should pick in Need for Speed Unbound. If you are interested in learning more then you can check out our Need for Speed Unbound guides hub.
