How You Can Sell Survey Data In Starfield

Before you can sell survey data in Starfield, you need to first collect 100% of the data on the planet. This includes scanning wildlife, points of interest, plants, and resources, etc. You can check data types while using your scanner on said planet. You will get a small box on the left that shows you all the things you need to scan.

To check your progress, you can head into the star map and hover over the planet. The tab on the left will tell you about the resources that you need to discover and the percentage of the planet that you have successfully surveyed. After you have surveyed the planet 100%, it will be labeled “Surveyed” inside your star map.

With that out of the way, there are different options for you to sell survey data in Starfield, which we have covered below.

Sell Survey Data To Phil Hill (Cydonia)

Phil can be found in Cydonia on Mars. He is a member of the League of Independent Settlers. He offers a better price for the survey data than Vladimir and the Trade Authority, so selling it to him should be your first choice. The only problem is that Phil will only buy survey data for planets where people can live. This means that you cannot get credits for data on planets that do not support life.

Sell Survey Data To The Trade Authority

You can sell your survey data in Starfield to the Trade Authority. You can find Trade Authority posts in different areas, such as New Atlantis on Jemison and Cydonia on Mars. You will find your Survey Data in the notes section of your inventory.

Sell Survey Data To Vladimir (The Eye)

You can also sell your survey data to Vladimir on The Eye, next to Jemison, Alpha Centauri system. To get into The Eye, you will need to complete the mission called The Old Neighbourhood and have started the Into The Unknown mission.

Vladimir offers a good price for the survey data you collected compared to the Trade Authority, so this is who you should sell it to. You can select the “I’ve got some Survey Data for you” dialogue option to get into an inventory menu that shows all the survey data that you can sell.
