Starfield First Contact Walkthrough Guide

First Contact is one of the most interesting missions in Starfield. It revolves around the ESC Constant, a crew that left Earth in search of new habitation. The mission also requires you to make some choices that can impact the story. In this guide, we will walk you through everything there is to know about completing First Contact in Starfield along with all the possible choices.

Starfield First Contact Walkthrough

To start First Contact, you will need to head to Porrima II, in the Porrima System. In there, you will need to dock to a spacecraft stationed in orbit.

Meet Diana Brackenridge

After boarding, you will meet Captain Diana Brackenridge, leader of ESC Constant. We learn that Diana, and her team, left Earth without knowing other humans still existed. Now they need help finding a suitable planet for their settlement. To achieve this, Diana asks for your help to discuss a possible agreement with Porrima II.

Meet Oliver Campbell

To continue, travel to Paradiso where you will meet Oliver Campbell, CEO of the Paradiso Group. You will be given three options to consider. Here is a brief rundown of these choices:

Option 1 — Settlement

You will need to collect some resources before returning to Diana for a Settlement Deal. These are the required resources:

40x Fiber.
20x Sealant.
80x Iron.
10x Lithium.

Option 2 — Grav Drive

This option requires you to purchase the Grav Drive for 250,000 in Hopetown. Once acquired, install it on the ESC Constant with Amin.

Option 3 — Destroy the Ship

As for the last option, you will need to overload the reactor. In order to do so, you will need to steal the Reactor Terminal Key from Amin Kazemi and use it to access the Reactor Computer. After you are done, set it to “Emergency Reactor Overdrive” before hacking Captain’s Terminal on the bridge. Once you have initiated it, return to Oliver Campbell to get 65,000 Credits as a reward.
