Crossguard is the slowest stance that you can use in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. However, since it is also the hardest hitting one, you should try to build around it, especially for boss fights. There are a lot of different skills that can significantly reduce its downsides, making it a perfect fit for a majority of builds out there. In this guide, we will walk you through all the skills offered by Crossguard stance in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Crossguard Skills

Remember how clunky yet incredibly satisfying Ultra Greatswords used to feel in Dark Souls games? Crossguard stance is the equivalent to that in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Your wind-ups are incredibly slow, you are prone to getting punished if you mistime your attacks, and it can be hard to land consistent. However, there are some skills that you can use which remedy that. A complete list of all the skills offered by Crossguard stance are detailed below:

Skill Cost Effect
Rending Strike 1 Skill Point You can hold Square/X to land a high-damage swing. Beware careful, however, since it has a long wind-up time which can very easily be punished.
Impact 2 Skill Points While in the air, press Triangle/Y to slam into the ground, creating a shockwave that damages all nearby enemies.
Greater Impact 1 Skill Point This is just a more powerful version of Impact and increases the AoE of the shockwave you create.
Greater Cleaving Swing 1 Skill Point This decreases the focus charge-up time.
Reaching Cleave 1 Skill Point This further increases the range of Cleaving Swing.
Sundering Swipe 2 Skill Points A wide, sweeping attack that can damage multiple enemies if they are lined up together. To land it, hold L1/LB and press Square/X.
Charged Reflection 1 Skill Point Just as you are about to hit by a bolt, press L1/LB to reflect back a charged bolt that not only damages the original enemy but also everyone around it.
Rolling Thunder 2 Skill Points You can hold L1/LB and press Triangle/Y to toss the Lightsaber in the direction you are to hit multiple targets in its line-of-sight.

Best Crossguard Skills to Use

If you are a fan of aerial combat, you cannot go wrong with Greater Impact. The shockwave that it creates has pretty decent range and can cover a large area. Also, since you lack speed with this Combat Stance, you should also consider Rolling Thunder to pick off weak targets from a safe distance before you engage them head-on.

Since the only downside of using the Crossguard stance is the long animations times that you will need to deal with, having the Greater Cleaving Swing can be really good. Other than that, Rolling Thunder and Greater Impact are decent ranged options.
