Splatoon 3 is out now on the Nintendo Switch and if you are interested in getting into the ink battle then there are a couple of things that you should keep in mind that are going to help you. In this Splatoon 3 beginner’s guide, we are going to go over some tips and tricks that are going to help you win.
Splatoon 3 Tips And Tricks
The following are some of the Splatoon 3 tips and tricks that you should keep in mind:
Try The Single Player Mode
If you are new to the franchise and have not played the previous games then you should experience the single-player mode. The story is interesting and will help you learn the ropes and get used to the different mechanics that the game has to offer. During the single-player mode, you can try out different weapons to get a feel for them and see which ones you prefer.
Use Motion Controls To Your Advantage
Getting used to motion controls can be a bit tricky but we recommend taking your time and getting used to them as they are going to help you a lot in the long run. Motion controls help increase your accuracy which is vital when facing other players. You can also change the sensitivity in order to fine-tune the feature.
Shops Reset At 8 PM EDT
All the shops get new loot at 8 PM EDT. The daily discounted gachapon draw at the Shell-out Machine in the lobby also resets at the same time.
Ink Your Base
This might seem obvious to players that have played these games but we recommend inking your base. This tip can easily be forgotten or overlooked but do keep it in mind when playing Splatoon 3. Fizzy Bombs and Sprinklers will come in handy here.
Fill The Special Meter And Use The Ability
Different weapons have different special abilities. You can fill the special meter by covering areas in paint or defeating enemies. Once the meter is full you can use the special ability against your opponents to turn the tide of battle. This special ability can be devastating and can turn the tide of the match. So remember to fill up that special meter and use the ability as often as you can.
Learning The Map Is Vital
This is something that takes time and some learn their way around maps faster than others but doing so is going to give you an edge for sure. Knowing the map will allow you to plan your attacks and be aware of where the enemy is going to hit from. Learning the different routes that you can take and choke points is going to help you win
Move Around In The Paint
You will need a lot of ink so refilling your tank is going to be very important. We recommend moving around in the paint as it allows you to travel faster but also refill your ink tank in the process. Ink is the most important resource in the game so you should have plenty of it in the tank at all times.
Test Weapons Before Buying Them
Do not waste your resources on weapons that you might not like. Test them before making a purchase. While in the shop, you can press the Y button in order to test the weapon and see what they can do. Once you are satisfied you can buy the ones that you like. Try out a bunch of weapons before buying one.
