Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 builds upon the foundation of the original game and adds a lot of new skills. New York is now much bigger, so it makes sense that Spider-Man has some new tools to get around the city. This is where the Web Wings come in. In this Spider-Man 2 guide, I go over how you can unlock the Web Wings and use them.
How To Unlock Web Wings In Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
You do not have to complete a special mission or do anything complicated to unlock Web Wings in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. You unlock them once you complete the opening mission of the main storyline. Once you do that, you will unlock the Web Wings for all your suits and for both versions of Spider-Man.
Once you have the Web Wings unlocked, you should make the most of them. They allow you to move around the city much faster, especially when you need to traverse over large bodies of water.
How To Use Web Wings
Press Triangle while free falling or swinging to use Web Wings, and you will start to glide. You can control the direction of the glide with the left analog stick. Use this to dive down or move up to build speed and height. This is very similar to how you swing with your webs. You can also use your Web-Zip (X) ability to give yourself a boost if you feel you are moving too slowly or do not have enough height.
As you explore New York, you will find wind tunnels that you can glide through to give you a boost in speed. You can use your scanner (R3) to highlight the wind tunnels, and they will show up in green.
