A shotgun is one of the best weapons in the game, and before you go after its weapons, we suggest you grab the weapon itself first. The shotgun needs to be dug up from a grave; of course, you will need a shovel.
Infinite Shotgun Ammo Farming

Finding the right location is the first step to creating an infinite supply of shotgun ammo. The infinite shotgun ammo can be farmed at a campsite near a lake (shown in the image above).
There are two crates in this location that usually contain either buckshot or slug ammo. To get there, head along the shore from the beach with the two house markers until you reach the location.
Once you’re at the location, grab the ammo from the crates. Then, to make the ammo respawn, save your game by setting up a small tent. After you’ve saved your game, exit to the main menu, and then head back into the game.
All the ammo that was at the location should now have respawned. You keep repeating the process to get infinite shotgun ammo in Sons of the Forest. There are other items at the campsite as well but the ammo usually appears in at least one of the crates every time you visit.
Keep in mind that you can’t hold an infinite amount of ammo, but the supply will always be there. So, every time you run low on shotgun ammo, head back to the location, grab the ammo from the crates, and then save your game at the nearby tent. Repeat the process as many times as necessary to create an endless supply of shotgun ammo.
