But first things fight; before you can go after the Gold armor, you must get your hands on the maintenance key. Because without it, you won’t be able to find the Gold Armor.

The maintenance is inside an underneath bunker:

Maintenance Key Location.

When you reach the location in the image above, use a shovel to dig on a dirt path near the golf cart to reveal a hatch leading to the underground bunker. Climb down the ladder, and head into the corridor. The key is inside the first room to your right. It should be on the table next to the laptop.

How to Find the Gold Armor in Sons of the Forest

Once you have the key, head to the other side of the island, past the snowy mountain, keep an eye out for a green beacon, as this will lead you to the location of the Gold Armor Suit.

Inside the cave marked by the green beacon, you’ll encounter several enemies, so make sure you have decent gear before entering. Fight your way through the corridor until you reach the end, where the Gold Armor Suit can be found. This powerful armor will give you a significant advantage in battles, so obtaining it’s worth the effort.

There is an entire facility inside the cave, so you can explore plenty of areas. The Gold armor suit you’re looking for is all the way down in level 2, sitting on a couch. You need to keep going down the stairway after passing through the corridor to reach level 2. Go past the level 2 entrance door, and the first door to your right is for the room with the gold armor.

The armor serves as a “key” to unlock the gate that leads to the magma caverns located in the eastern bunker. If the player possesses the armor in their inventory, it will automatically equip when interacting with the gate.
