Starfield lets you keep multiple ships in your fleet. Once you have better ships or have stolen a few, you might want to sell them to make some credits. In this Starfield guide, we go over how you can sell your ships and stolen ships.

How To Sell Ships In Starfield

To sell a ship in Starfield, you need to talk to a Ship Technician. You can find one on the landing ramps in New Atlantis on Jemison in the Alpha Centauri System. There are other technicians that you can find on other planets. Interact with him and select the option “Let me see what ships you have for sale” to bring up the vendor’s inventory. Now, you need to head into the Sell menu; you will see the option at the bottom of the screen towards the right.

You will now be able to see all the ships that you own and the value they will sell for. You can then select the one that you would like to sell. Note that you cannot sell your home ship, and if the vendor does not have enough credits and you sell your ship anyway, then you will not get the full amount.

How To Sell Stolen Ships

To sell a stolen ship, you need to talk to a Ship Technician, who will register your ship and make it “official”. Interact with the Technician and select the golden ticket or register your ship option. This is not free and requires you to pay credits, but it means that your ship will no longer be considered stolen. So not only can you safely sell the ship, but you can loot the onboard items as well.
