SCUM is an Early Access title on Steam, at the time of writing, which means that game will have errors and issues. PC players are reporting that they are facing Fatal Error crash while playing SCUM and here is how to fix it.

How To Fix SCUM Fatal Error

Players are reporting that they are facing LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] while playing SCUM. One fix for this error is to delete the GPU drivers and reinstall them. Do a clean installation and it’ll fix the error.

In case the issue persists, then the GPU might be the culprit behind it. Players can use MSI Afterburner and drop the GPU clock by 100 Mhz. If you don’t want to mess with the GPU clock, then try to cap the max FPS.

Open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Setting > select SCUM. Enable Max FPS Limit and set the value to 30. The game will be locked at 30 FPS and the GPU and CPU load will be reduced. This will fix the Fatal error.

That is all for our SCUM fix for Fatal Error. If you are facing errors and issues with other PC games or your PC then also see our hub for commonly occurring PC errors and their fixes.
