Scarlet Nexus Ex New Game Guide – What Carries Over, Farm Phantom Art

NG+ in Scarlet Nexus is referred to as Ex New Game. While subsequent playthroughs are not meant for everyone, they do offer a lot in terms of narrative and gear in Scarlet Nexus. In this guide, we have detailed all there is to know about Ex New Game, how to start it, and things that can be carried over in the next playthrough.

Scarlet Nexus Ex New Game

Starting the Ex New Game is simple. Complete the campaign with either Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall. Once done, select the option to start Ex New Game or NG+. One thing to keep in mind is that a new ‘Clear Save’ must be made to begin the Ex New Game.

After completing the campaign with both the characters, players keep grinding for the Phantom Art which is a powerful material required to acquire the best weapons in Scarlet Nexus. There is one such powerful weapon for each of the companions and both the protagonists.

This means that the campaign must be completed a total of 10 times. However, this is something meant for perfectionists and is not for an average player who does not want to invest hundreds of hours grinding everything there is in the game.

As for the things that can be carried over in the subsequent playthroughs, these include:

  • Kin
  • Character Gallery
  • Character Library
  • Weapons, Plugins, Items, Visuals, Materials
  • Brain Map Skills
  • Level, Stats, etc.
  • Brain Points
  • SAS Level

Things that cannot be carried over in NG+ include enemy compendium and Brain Map Skills. Remember that the game asks players to choose whether they would like to bring the Brain Map Skills to the next playthrough.

That is all we have got in our Scarlet Nexus Ex New Game guide. For more help on the game, feel free to check out our detailed Scarlet Nexus wiki page.
