Risk of Rain 2 – Challenges Guide

You can check the progress of your challenges by going to the main menu and selecting the Logbook. The following are the survivors and their challenges:

Commando

Mastery – This challenge requires you to complete almost seven stages on the Monsoon difficulty. After that head to Obelisk by using the Celestial Portal and choose the obliterate option. This challenge ain’t easy to overcome but can be completed through sheer determination.

Rolling Thunder – This challenge requires you to land a finishing blow on an Overloading Worm. There is a low chance of it spawning so that you can attack it. One way to lure it to spawn is to go to places like Abyssal Depths or Rallypoint Delta and activate around two Shrines of the Mountain around the area where the worm can spawn.

You can easily lower its health with or without your friends help and do the finishing blow. The spawning part of the challenge can be difficult other than that the rest of the challenge is easy.

Incorruptible – This challenge requires you to complete 20 stages in one run. Seems easy enough but the catch here is not to pick up any lunar pod items in the entire run. You can do this on the easy difficulty though it will consume a lot of time.

MUL-T

Mastery – The same as before. This challenge requires you to complete almost seven stages on the Monsoon difficulty. After that head to Obelisk by using the Celestial Portal and choose the obliterate option. This challenge ain’t easy to overcome but can be completed through sheer determination.

Gotcha – This challenge requires you to land the finishing blow on an Imp Overlord. The finishing blow though has to be done by using the Preon Accumulator. You can get this item in a chest in Rallypoint Delta. Explore and play the game until the Imp Overlord spawn and then you can land the finishing blow with Preon.

Pest Control – This challenge requires you to fight with two Beetle Queens and defeat them. The catch here is to defeat them while being in the teleporter zone. You can use Shrines of the Mountain to make them spawn. The Beetle Queen boss usually spawns in areas like Titanic Plains, Distant Roost, Wetlands Aspects, and some other early areas.

Huntress

Mastery – The same as before. This challenge requires you to complete almost seven stages on the Monsoon difficulty. After that head to Obelisk by using the Celestial Portal and choose the obliterate option. This challenge ain’t easy to overcome but can be completed through sheer determination.

Piercing Wind – This challenge is very hard as it requires you to finish Rallypoint Delta without your health falling below 100%. You can use shields like Topaz Brooch which can cover your health with a shield to help a lot in combat. This challenge is all about playing it safe and mostly not getting too reckless.

One Shot, One Kill – This challenge requires you to collect 12 Crowbars and carry then all at once. Crowbars are white items which can be easily found in many chests and vending machine. This challenge won’t take up much of your time if you are lucky that is.

Engineer

100% Calculated – This challenge requires you to defeat the teleporter boss in less than five seconds. You might think of it as hard but it can be done easily and quickly. Just make use of your turrets and equipment a lot. Invite your friends and equip your most powerful build and spawn the boss to defeat it with ease in mere seconds.

Better With Friends – This challenge requires you to have about 12 minions at your side at a time. Minions refer to friends or drones. So you have to explore the areas and gather any drones you set eyes on. There are items that can spawn drones too.

Artificer

Mastery – The same as before. This challenge requires you to complete almost seven stages on the Monsoon difficulty. After that head to Obelisk by using the Celestial Portal and choose the obliterate option. This challenge ain’t easy to overcome but can be completed through sheer determination.

Massacre – This challenge requires you to get a multi-kill of 20 enemies in an instance. Just bait out a lot of enemies (more than 20) and gather them into an area then you can use Artificer’s Charged Nano-Bomb. You can throw in some grenades or other items to confirm the multi-kill.

Orbital Bombardment – This challenge requires you to eliminate 15 enemies airborne. Touching the ground will end your progress if any. Just try to jump from a high place and use Hopoo Feather and kill 15 enemies in the air.

Chunked – This challenge requires you to defeat the teleporter boss in a one-second burst of damage. The main thing to do here is to stack up a lot of items in your playthrough. Then when the boss appears, let him have all of it. All abilities and skills and items. Make sure your abilities aren’t on cooldown.

Mercenary

Mastery – The same as before. This challenge requires you to complete almost seven stages on the Monsoon difficulty. After that head to Obelisk by using the Celestial Portal and choose the obliterate option. This challenge ain’t easy to overcome but can be completed through sheer determination.

Demon of the Skies – This challenge requires you to stay airborne for 30 seconds. Touching the ground will lose end your progress if any. This challenge is easy if you can fund flying enemies and bounce off from one to another making use of your dash. Use Hopoo Feathers to maximize air time.

Ethereal – This challenge requires you to complete a Prismatic Trial. The catch here is that your health shouldn’t fall below 100% health. The challenge is easy as the trail is easy and short. Keep in mind that you are at a close range, so it’s recommended to use shields.

REX

Mastery – The same as before. This challenge requires you to complete almost seven stages on the Monsoon difficulty. After that head to Obelisk by using the Celestial Portal and choose the obliterate option. This challenge ain’t easy to overcome but can be completed through sheer determination.

Bushwhacked – This challenge requires you to complete the teleporter event with 50% health or below. Before activating the teleporter get your health below 50%. Once you enter and start the event make sure you don’t obviously die and not to take health items at instances where you might reach 50%+ health. In the event you have to defeat the boss and charge the teleporter to leave the stage.
