Members of your party are very important since they not only support you in combat but can be very important in creating synergies. As you progress through Baldur’s Gate 3 and missions get increasingly challenging, having a character die is inevitable. Fortunately, there are a couple of ways in which you can revive dead characters in Baldur’s Gate 3 and in this guide, we cover all of them.
Methods To Revive Characters In Baldur’s Gate 3
There are three main ways in which you can revive dead characters in Baldur’s Gate 3:
- Using the Scroll of Revivify
- Casting the Revivify spell
- Visiting Withers (200 Gold)
The Scroll of Revivify
From the get-go, you can use the Scroll of Revivfy to revive dead characters and bring them back to life. You get one for free from the start of the game as does each of your companions. So you get 4 of these early on in the game. Making this an easy way of reviving dead allies.
The Revivify Spell
Clerics or Paladins can learn the Revivify spell at level 5. This does need a level 3 spell slot so you cannot use it often without long rests but it is a way of reviving dead allies. It does remove the reliance on Scrolls of Revivity. Shadowheart is a companion that you can recruit early on that can use this spell.
Visiting Withers
Withers is an NPC that you can find in the Dank Crypt, dungeon. Once you meet him he will head to your camp and you can talk to him to bring allies back from the dead for 200 gold. Withers also lets you respect your character and change your class.
