Resident Evil 4 is the latest remake from Capcom and they have done an incredible job. Like the previous Resident Evil games, RE4 Remake doesn’t support DLSS as Capcom has only included support for AMD FSR. However, there is a way to enable or use DSLSS or even DLAA in Resident Evil 4 Remake, and here is how.

How To Enable DLSS In RE4 Remake

AMD FSR does a pretty good job of upscaling the image, but it’s a software-based solution. DLSS, on the other hand, is hardware-based upscaling tech with better image resolve. Unfortunately, Capcom hasn’t included DLSS support in RE4 Remake, like previous Resident Evil games. But there is a mod that allows users to enable DLSS in Resident Evil 4 Remake and here is how you can do it.

Download the mod from this link. Open the folder and copy all three files. Right-click RE4 Remake in your Steam library > Manage > Browse Local Files. A new Explorer window will open containing RE4 game files. Paste the files here. Launch the game and the REFramework window will appear in the main menu. It’ll take a few seconds to load all its options. Click the “TemporalUpscaler”, select DLSS in ”Upscale type” and select the quality for DLSS. Now play Resident Evil 4 Remake with DLSS. Ensure that FSR and anti-aliasing are disabled in the options menu.

  • Download the mod files.
  • click on the highlighted option to continue.
  • Open the downloaded fodler.
  • Copy all files.
  • Browse Re4 Remake files.
  • Paste files.
  • Select the options highlighted.
  • Disable FSR.

Note that since DLSS is not officially integrated into the game, expect to see some visual artifacts or even visual glitches while using DLSS in RE4 Remake.

How To Enable DLAA

If you want to play Resident Evil 4 Remake at the native resolution but with better anti-aliasing, then you can enable DLAA, provided you have an RTX GPU. Follow the steps mentioned above and when the REFramework window opens, select “TemporalUpscaler”, uncheck “Upscale” and check “Use Native Res (DLAA)”. Disable the anti-aliasing in the game’s menu.

  • Make the highlighted changes.
  • Disable anti-aliasing.
