Scrap is the primary currency of Remnant 2. You need it for almost everything — purchases, upgrades, crafting items, etc. This is why it is never a bad idea to have a stockpile of Scrap whenever you need it. Despite the fact that all the enemies drop some Scrap when defeated, it still not feels enough. There are, however, a few ways that you can use to easily farm a lot of Scrap in Remnant 2.
Remnant 2 Scrap Farming
There are a few different ways to earn some extra Scrap in Remnant 2 such as:
Sell Useless Items
As you play, you will continue to collect a few unwanted items. Instead of simply tossing these items away, you should sell them to earn a bit of Scrap. It is important to temper expectations though. Not every item will get sold for a whole lot but it adds up rather quickly.
Find Chests
While exploring different Worlds, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for Treasure Chests scattered all around. Each of these can yield somewhere around 100x Scrap which is not bad for just being attentive. Aside from Scrap, you can also expect to find Weapons, Weapon Mods, and all sorts of goodies in there.
Defeat Enemies
This one is pretty simple! Defeat enemies. That is pretty much all you need to do. Almost every enemy in Remnant 2 will drop some Scrap. The quantity you get depends on the tier of the enemy that you defeat.
Equip Rings
There are some Rings in Remnant 2 that can boost the amount of Scrap you get from enemies. Personally, we would not recommend using these since there are so many better options unless you are really struggling which should not be happening.
Play the Adventure Mode
After reaching the Labyrinth, you can start playing the Adventure Mode. It essentially lets you create your desired Custom Levels. Once you have done that, simply breeze through these Custom Levels to earn a bit of Scrap. It is a great way if you wish to design a farming strategy of your own choice.
Infinite Scrap Farm
There is a way to farm an infinite amount of Scrap. Before we begin, please note that it is an exploit. There is a good chance at it will get patched in the future.
Those of you who want to take advantage of it while it lasts, you will need to find one of these locations in Losomn — it can be in Adventure Mode:
- The Great Sewers
- Tiller’s Rest
- Harvester’s Reach
Once there, you will see a purple item inside a hanging cage. Shooting the cage will drop the Severed Hand. It is important that you shoot the cage with Merciless or Flamethrower. This will basically cause the Severed Hand to drop endlessly. However, be careful that doing it too much will cause your instance to crash.
Once you have enough, simply inspect the item and pull the ring from the finger to receive some Scrap. You can continue to do this until you have plenty. You can also check out this video to see how it works.
Lastly, please note that it does not need a party as it is completely doable solo. You can also equip some Scrap-increasing items if you want.
