Ripsaw is a mini-boss that you will encounter in the Losomn (Dran) area in Remnant 2. This boss can be rather challenging since it is agile and has devastating attacks. Remnant 2 Ripsaw Location
Ripsaw is found in Morrow Parish, Losomn. Go to the shed outside the asylum courtyard and open the door to let him out.
How To Beat Ripsaw Mini-Boss In Remnant 2
The following is what you need to know about the Ripsaw boss encounter in Remnant 2.
Quick Time Event
Ripsaw will pin you down and to get out you will need to succeed in the quick time event, in which you need to mash the promoted buttons. If you are quick enough then the bar will fill up and you will be free. If you aren’t, you will die and will need to restart the encounter.
Ripsaw Attacks and Counters
While this is a mini-boss it is very similar to other enemies that you will have encountered on your journey. Ripsaw’s moveset comprises melee attacks with his blade, so you will need to dodge accordingly to avoid damage. Ripaw’s new move is the ability to fire projectiles at you. You will see these white fireballs coming and you will need to dodge them. Furthermore, these do create a pool of white flame on the ground which does damage over time if you walk into them. So stay clear of the white flames.
Avoid Tight Spaces
While the area is generally open, there are a few tight spaces where you do not have a lot of maneuverability. Avoid narrow spaces or you will be charged by the boss and will be trapped. Stick to open areas where you have room to dodge and counter Ripsaw’s attacks.
Take Advantage Of Openings
Once you have done enough constant gunfire, the boss will be stunned for a short period of time and you need to take advantage of this opening to deal damage.
The boss also rams his blade into the ground, a move that you can dodge but once the attack is over, you need to quickly make the most of it by dealing damage. Use your powerful weapons when this happens. Furthermore, you can also deal damage when the boss is revving his chainsaw. These are the three main openings that you should take full advantage of to defeat Ripsaw.
Ripsaw Weakness
The main weakness of Ripsaw is its head so make sure to target the head as much as possible. Using a rifle with the Hot Shot weapon mod yields the best results. This combination will do the most damage to Ripsaw’s head in during this Remnant 2 boss fight.

Ripsaw can randomly drop the following items after the boss fight ends:
- Scrap
- Tome of Knowledge
- Striker
- Corrupted Lumenite Crystal
