If you are running a Tank build in Remnant 2, you cannot go wrong with Hardened Coil. It is a Ring that decreases all incoming damage by 3% for each 10% missing HP. It can also stack up to five times — this results in 15% DR which is absolutely massive. Being a secret item, however, chances are you will not see the item in your initial playthrough unless you know exactly where to look. Remnant 2 Hardened Coil
To find Hardened Coil, you will need to head over to the Forgotten Field in Yaesha. You will probably need to reroll a few times before you can get it.
To be able to find the Forgotten Field, you will need to proceed through the Lost Temple until you come across a portal heading to the Forgotten Field.
Once you are there, you will need to head through the statues before dropping onto a lower ledge. From there, continue into some ruins until you are needed to fight against a mini-boss named Gnarled Archer. You must defeat this boss to proceed ahead. However, do note that defeating the boss will reward you with a Mutator called Bandit which is possibly the best Mutator for Enigma.
After collecting Hardened Coil, continue to head deeper into the ruins until you see it on a table — it should be in plain sight.
Alternate Method
There is another area where you can get Hardened Coil i.e. Imperial Gardens. Once you are there, you will need to fight two bosses at the same time which has a chance to drop it.
