Sha’Hala: Spectral Guardian in Remnant 2 is the World Boss in N’Erud who appears after the Seeker’s Keys questline. It is essentially a massive phantom with multiple eyes who can be pretty challenging on Nightmare and above. The boss also has an Alternate Kill which rewards one of the most sought-after weapons in the game — Aphelion. The fight takes place in a fairly small space which basically adds to the challenge, especially if you are playing in co-op. This guide will cover everything you need to know about defeating Sha’Hala: Spectral Guardian in Remnant 2.
Remnant 2 Defeat Sha’Hala
Sha’Hala is one of the two World Bosses in N’Erud — the other one being Tal’Ratha. Whether you fight Sha’Hala or Tal’Ratha depends on which questline you rolled. However, you can always reroll the Adventure Mode to fight the other one.
To find Sha’Hala, you will need to access the Sentinel’s Keep. And to do that, you will need to find 3x Seeker’s Keys from Seeker’s Rest, The Hatchery, and Astropath’s Respite.
Once you have found them, head over to the Sentinel’s Keep for a face-off against Sha’Hala, the Spectral Guardian.
Attacks
Before anything else, it is a good idea to familiarize yourself with a variety of attacks that Sha’Hala uses in battle. Here is a brief rundown:
| Purple Lasers | It will fire lasers at you. However, you should only worry about dodging the lower ones. The higher ones will not do any damage to you. |
| Orbs | These orbs are pretty slow so you should have no trouble dealing with them as long as you move a little. |
| Lightning Beams | Sha’Hala will also throw some lightning beams in the area. Once again, these are well-telegraphed so it should not be a problem dodging them. |
| Slam Attack | Whenever you see it flip, it is about to do a tail-slam attack that deals a lot of damage. Try to stay clear if possible. |
| Vortex | If it disappears, it will sprout massive hands from the ground followed by a vortex that pulls everyone in. You should try to be on the move and shoot the vortex as much as possible. Both of these attacks one-shot on Apocalypse. |
How to Defeat
It may not be apparent at first but its weakspot is the large glowing orb in front of the boss. Whenever you get a chance, continue to deal damage to this orb. It is also a good idea to save your Weapon Mods as well as Skills for it.
It is also important to note that this orb will disappear sometimes and get replaced by small hands. You can destroy these to get some ammo. Turrets from Engineer and Mod-spam builds from Archon are incredible for this fight.
Since it can be pretty tough to consistently land weakspot hits for new players, the fight will get dragged a little. However, as long as you nail you dodges, it will be fine.
Alternate Kill
Similar to some other bosses in Remnant 2, there is an Alternate Kill for Sha’Hala. To trigger it, you will need to find the Override Pin in the Timeless Horizon area.
If you insert the Override Pin into the console before starting the fight, you will trigger the Alternate Fight which is arguably easier than the normal one.
Rewards
After you have defeated Sha’Hala, you will get these items:
- Eidolon Shard to craft the Spectral Blade
- Void Cinder to craft Aphelion — Alternate Kill reward
- Tome of Knowledge
- Scrap
- Lumenite Crystals
