Which Weapon Mod To Get First In Remnant 2

Remnant 2 has plenty of weapon mods that you can use but early on you need to pick from; Hot Shot, Scrap Shot, Concussive Shot, and Healing Shot. We recommend going with Hot Shot since its damage over time effect can be very helpful during boss battles. This will be very helpful during the early parts of the game. While all the weapon mods are useful depending on the situation, we recommend Hot Shot over the rest.

The following is a breakdown of all the weapon mods you get access to early on and what you need to know about them.

Hot Shot

Imbues your shots with fire to deal damage over time. It sets enemies on fire and does damage over time for 10 seconds. Making it very useful against bosses, especially early on in the game.

Scrap Shot

Shoots a grenade that leaves caltrops on the floor, damaging and slowing enemies that cross them. This is great for ad control. It is a great option to consider but subjectively not the best option.

Concussive Shot

Fire a burst that passes through enemies. This can come in handy when dealing with large groups of enemies. You will not be able to take full advantage of this early on which is why we recommend mods that allow you to damage single targets effectively.

Healing Shot

Fire at your allies to heal them for 35% of their maximum health. This is only useful if you are planning on playing with friends. There is no use of this mod if you are going in solo.

This is what you need to know about the first weapon mod that you should pick in Remnant 2. If you are interested in learning more then check out our guide on how you can defeat Shrewd. You can also check out our guide explaining the grey health bar mechanic.
