The following are some useful tips and tricks that you should keep in mind when playing Remnant 2.
Smash Breakable Objects In Your Environment
Resources are scarce in Remnant 2 so you should get them from all possible sources. Use your melee attack to smash things in your environment to get scrap. This is the main currency in the game which you will need for pretty much everything. The small amount of scrap that you get might not seem like much but it adds up over time.
There Is A Higher Chance Of Getting Ammo For The Weapon You Arent Using
If you run out of ammo for your primary weapon or long gun then you should swap to your secondary weapon. The chance of getting ammo for the weapon that you are not using is higher.
Pay Attention To Audio Cues
Special enemies have specific audio cues for they appear and die. These enemies drop good items when they die, so you should kill them when possible. You will often get resources that you can use for mods.
Sell Excess Items
You will never have enough scrap but a quick way of getting some is by selling items. If you have consumables that you never use or other excess resources then you can sell them to vendors.
Do Not Forget About Consumables
Consumables are hard to find but that does not mean that you should not use them. If you are stuck on a boss and need a final push, remember to check and use your consumables to help you out. One of these could give you the edge that you need.
Higher Gear Stats Arent Always Better
As you progress through the game you will get better gear but higher stats do not always mean better armor. A lot depends on resistance and weight. If you surpass the weight limit then you will start to fat roll, which is not ideal. Bosses in Remnant 2 are very challenging and you will need the most movement speed to defeat them.
Pausing The Game
Pausing the game is not possible even if you are playing Remnant 2 in offline mode. You can however interact with a checkpoint or a world stone. Resting here will be considered as a safe area and enemies will not be able to attack you. Resting at these areas is going to reset the enemies in the area and you will need to defeat them again. So there is a pro and a con.
Enable Auto Dismiss Items Prompt
There is a lot of loot in Remnant 2 which means a lot of notifications that you need to get rid of. Luckily you can enable the auto dismiss items prompt setting to get rid of these messages automatically. You can find this in the game settings menu in the gameplay tab.
Explore The Whole Area
Be sure to check the area around you and explore everywhere to make sure that you do not miss any loot. You never know what you might find around the corner. Chances are that there is an area on the map that is no longer red that you have not explored yet. If you pass by a chest and do not open it then it will be marked on your map. So you can head over to it and see what you get.
Focus Points On Vigor Early On
Since Remnant 2 is all about survival and you will face challenging bosses and enemies, health is going to be very important. That is why we recommend focusing on Vigor from the very start of the game.
Platforming Can Be Rewarding
Jumping and platforming are new to Remnant 2. If you notice platforms that seem obvious or out of place then checking them out can be rewarding. Platforming might not be the best but it can be worth it.
Check In On Vendors Regularly
There are a couple of vendors in the game that sell different items that you can buy. As you progress through Remnant 2 the stock of these vendors will update. So check in regularly and you might find something you want to buy.
