Seamless multiplayer in video games isn’t something new and when it comes to Redfall, Arkane has not done anything groundbreaking. What it does, however, is that it works seamlessly. In this guide, we will walk you through everything you need to know about co-op actually works in Redfall.

Redfall Co-op Explained

Before we begin, do note that Redfall has seamless co-op which means you are able to go in and out co-op experience at any time they like. The first thing that you need to understand is that the entirety of Redfall can be played in Solo Mode if you prefer that. However, even if you are playing solo, you will need an always-online connection as it is mandatory.

Another very important thing that you need to keep in mind is that, while in co-op, only the host’s story will progress. The players who join the host will retain their world state, meaning they will need to progress their story once more. Other than this, you will get to keep your loot, upgrades, and EXP. While you are in a lobby, you are completely free to roam around the world as they wish, but Redfall does reward players if they decide to stick together.

As for how many people can play co-op at the same time, the game allows 4 players to join together. Once you have joined someone’s game, you will not be able to change your characters until you leave the lobby and rejoin once more.

This is all we have on how co-op works in Redfall. If there is anything else that you would like to know, be sure to let us know in the comments down below!
