Pokemon Sword and Shield do not have a complete Pokedex but there are still plenty of Pokemon and you will spend a lot of time catching them all. With that said, there are some secret Pokemon that are hidden in Pokemon Sword And Shield. In this Pokemon Sword And Shield hidden Pokemon guide, we are going to go over all of the ones that we know about and how you can get them.

How To Get Secret Pokemon Hidden In Pokemon Sword And Shield

The following are all the secret Pokemon that we know about in the game and how you can get them:

Mew

Mew

You can get Mew if you have the Poke Ball Plus accessory. You can only redeem it once. If you got Mew for Lets Go then you will not be able to do the same for Pokemon Sword And Shield. Keep in mind that if you delete the save file and no longer have Mew then you will not be able to get it back.

Gigantamax Pikachu And Evee

Gigantamax Pikachu And Evee

You can get either of the two Pokemon if you have saved data for Lets Go Pikachu or Evee on your console.  You need to get to the wild area station in your game. This can take roughly 2 hours. You can get the special Pikachu if you have Lets Go Pikachu and the special Evee if you have Lets Go Evee. Note that these two special Pokemon will not be able to evolve.

The special Meowth can be obtained by anyone in the Mystery Gift option but you will need to do this before 15th January 2020.

Duraludon

You can find this Pokemon in the Lake of Outrage. To reach the lake, you need to have the ability to ride your bike over water.

Stonjourner 

This is a version exclusive Pokemon and you can only get it if you have Pokemon Sword. You can find this Pokemon on route 10. The Pokemon only has a 1% encounter rate and you will not be able to see it in the overworld.

You will have to get into the tall grass and interact with the Pokemon when the exclamation mark pops up. You can also find this Pokemon later on in the Lake of Outrage. To reach the lake, you need to have the ability to ride your bike over water.

Eiscue

This is a version exclusive Pokemon and you can only get it if you have Pokemon Shield. You can find this Pokemon on the route to the town with the 6th gym. The Pokemon only has a 2% encounter rate and you will not be able to see it in the overworld.

You will have to get into the tall grass and interact with the Pokemon when the exclamation mark pops up. You can also find this Pokemon later on in the Lake of Outrage. To reach the lake, you need to have the ability to ride your bike over water.

Dreepy And Drakloak

Dreepy can only be found in the Lake of Outrage and there is a 1% chance of encountering this Pokemon in the wild. Interestingly the evolution, Drakloak has a 2% encounter chance in the outer world. Drakload can also be caught from raid battles.

Flapple And Appletun 

Getting hold of the pre-evolution Pokemon Applin is relatively easy. There is a 10% chance of encountering it on the route that has the Pokemon Day Care. Flapple and Appletun are version exclusives and you can only get Flapple in Pokemon Sword, while you can only get Appletun in Pokemon Shield.

Flapple And Appletun 

You can find a young boy on the western side of Hammerlocke that is asking for an Applin. If you give him an Applin then he will return it to you along with the item that will evolve the Applin. This item is called Tart Apple. This is the only place in the game from where you can get this item for all we know.

Sizzlipede

You can get this Pokemon in the long grass on Route 3. There is a 1% chance of encountering this Pokemon. You also have a chance of catching this Pokemon during the gym mission of Kabu’s gym in Motostoke. It has a 100% chance to spawn during the mission.

Poltergeist And Sinistea

Poltergeist And Sinistea

Sinistea has a 1% encounter chance in Glimwood Tangle close to Ballonlea. You can get the teapot from merchants in Stow.

Special Events

Special events are going to play a vital part in the game. Mined data has revealed that Dynamax crystals are going to appear in the game and these can be used to obtain rare Pokemon. At this point we are not sure how this is going to work you might be able to download the Pokemon during special events but we will find out soon so stay tuned for more updates.
