Now that you know about the different forms you need to get an Eevee in order to evolve it and get the form that you want. If you have played Pokemon Lets Go Eevee and have saved data on your Switch then you can get an Eevee from the mystery gift section of the game.

If that is not the case then you can easily find Eevee on Route 4. While you explore Route 4 you will find patches of Yellow grass on both sides of the path. You will be able to find Eevee here pretty easily.

How Eevee Evolutions Work

Firstly, be sure that the Eevee that you are trying to evolve is a wild one and not the one that you got from the mystery gift option. Secondly, ensure that your Eevee is above level 15. In most cases, the Eevee will evolve before reaching level 20.

In order to evolve Eevee, you will need the respective stone, depending on the evolution that you are aiming for. The following are the stones that you need for different evolutions:

  • Flareon – Fire Stone
  • Jolteon – Thunder Stone
  • Vaporeon – Water Stone
  • Glacion –Ice Stone
  • Leafeon – Leaf Stone

Eevee Umbreon And Espeon Evolutions In Pokemon Sword And Shield

The evolution level for Umbreon and Espeon can be a bit higher. This ranges between level 22-25. In order for the Umbreon and Espeon evolutions for Eevee to work there are a couple of objectives that you need to complete. You need to make sure that Eevee is your best friend.

Umbreon And Espeon

You can do this by fighting battles using Eevee but be sure not to lose them. You can also try playing with Eevee and cooking too. Once Eevee is your best friend you need to evolve it at night in order for the Umbreon evolution to work. You need to evolve it in the day to turn Eevee into Espeon. That is the only difference between the two.
