One more difference that you’ll notice is related to The Academy in Mesagoza. You’ll enroll in the Naranja Academy in Pokemon: Scarlet and in the Uva Academy in Pokemon: Violet. Aside from the institute’s name, things such as lore books, clothes, uniforms, etc. are also different in both the games.
In addition to The Academy, each version of Pokemon: SV has different professors. You’ll have Professor Sada in Pokemon: Scarlet and Professor Turo in Pokemon: Violet.
As you roam around Paldea, you’ll have your trusty Rideable Pokemon by your side. You’ll have Koraidon in Pokemon: Scarlet and Miraidon in Pokemon: Violet. We’d also recommend upgrading the Rideable Pokemon to have abilities such as Climb, Surf, Glide, etc. so that you’re able to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.
