How to Increase Pikmin Capacity in Pikmin 4

The secret to increasing your Pikmin capacity lies in a special item called Flarlic. This pale, onion-like item is your ticket to a bigger Pikmin army. You’ll find Flarlic scattered throughout the game, often tucked away in caves or hidden behind enemy lines.

To collect a Flarlic, you’ll need to send your Pikmin to carry it back to your Onion base. Once the Flarlic is absorbed by the Onion, your Pikmin capacity will increase by 10. Keep in mind, though, that the maximum Pikmin capacity in Pikmin 4 is 100. Once you’ve reached this limit, collecting more Flarlic won’t increase your capacity. Instead, you’ll receive Nectar or Ultra-Spicy Nectar, which can help your Pikmin in other ways.

Find Wild Pikmin

While exploring caves, you might come across Wild Pikmin. These Pikmin can be added to your squad, temporarily increasing your Pikmin limit. However, once you return to the surface, your Pikmin limit will revert to its original number, and you’ll need to decide which Pikmin to keep.

You can also collect Pikmin pellets. When a pellet is taken to the Onion, new Pikmin of the same color as the pellet will be spawned. For example, a red pellet will spawn Red Pikmin.
