Phasmophobia Ghost Writing Guide – How to Use as Evidence

There are different types of evidence in Phasmophobia, one of which is ghost writing. The evidence essentially lets players find out which type of ghost is hunting them. You’re allowed to take a couple of Ghost Writing Books at the start of a job. In this guide, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about how you can use ghost writing as evidence in Phasmophobia.

Phasmophobia Ghost Writing

In Phasmophobia, ghost writing is done in an item called the Ghost Writing Book. Using the item is as simple as it can get. All you need to do is to place the item in an area. Once done, interact with the book in order to write in it. From there, you’ll need to wait for the ghost to draw something in response.

However, it’s important to know that not all types of ghosts will draw. From what we know so far, the only ones who like to draw in the Ghost Writing Book are Demon, Oni, Revenant, Shade, Spirit, and Yurei. It’s practically useless to use the item on other ghost types.

Aside from the ghosts who don’t like to write the book, you’ll also need to give the ghost some time to record its response. It all depending on how quickly the ghost is able to find the book. Therefore, place the book, write something, and wait for the ghost to record its response.

It’s important to note that what the ghost will write in the book is completely random. A small tip is to place the book in a room with a video camera installed. This will ensure that you’re able to keep track of the book and immediately get to it. I’d also suggest keeping a couple of Smudge Sticks in order to fend the ghost off if things start to go sideways.

This is all we’ve got in our Phasmophobia Ghost Writing guide. For more help on the game, you can check out our Phasmophobia wiki guides.
