Persona 4 Golden has plenty of secrets to keep you occupied for a long time. Be it unlocking the dungeon, the game’s true ending, or a secret boss battle, there is plenty for everyone to discover. In this Persona 4 Golden guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about how to unlock the secret boss fight in the game.
Persona 4 Golden Secret Boss Fight
Before we begin, do note that the guide contains massive spoilers from the story. You have been warned!
The first thing that you need to know is that you can only battle the secret boss during NG+. Successfully defeating the boss will unlock “One who has Proven their Power” achievement. Aside from this, you will also need to unlock the game’s True Ending on both NG and NG+.
If you do not know how to do that, you can check out our detailed True Ending guide by heading over to the link.
You will also need to beat every dungeon’s second boss. To find this optional boss, you will need to clear a TV World dungeon and return to it at a later stage to find it at exactly the same place where you fought the first boss. You must fight every optional boss in every dungeon before you enter Magatsu Inaba dungeon – this is very important!
In addition to this, you will also need to max Margaret’s social link. This should not be hard but if you are still having trouble, you can check out our detailed Social Links guide for more help.
You should also consider creating a manual save before and after completing the Magatsu Inaba dungeon so that you have a contingency plan in case you mess something up.
On 03/20, when you meet Izanami, do not enter the TV World. Head inside the Velvet Room in order to acquire an Invitational Card from Margaret. Remember that trying to enter the Velvet Room after you have been to the TV World will not work.
Anyway, once you have acquired the Invitational Card, enter the TV World but no need to challenge Izanami. Instead, proceed to the very top of the Heaven dungeon and prepare your best Personas in order to fight the secret boss. While not incredibly tough to beat, the secret boss is still easily the toughest boss in Persona 4 Golden.
This is how you can unlock the secret boss fight in Persona 4 Golden. For more help on the game, you can check out our Persona 4 Golden wiki guides.
