A key aspect of enhancing your exploration in Palworld is the use of mounts. There are no separate entities as mounts. However, you can essentially use Pals to ride once you have crafted the specific Saddles for them. You can use the mounts to gather resources, in different combat situations, or for general exploration. Here is everything you need to know about getting mounts in Palworld:
There are no specific mounts in Palworld. Instead, certain Pals are used as mounts after unlocking their ability to be ridden. To ride a Pal, you need to unlock Pal-specific Saddles from the Technology Tree. You can do this at the Pal Gear Workbench. This requires:
- 10x Paldium Fragments + 10x Wood + 10x Cloth
This essentially allows you to craft items enabling Pals to use their Partner Skills such as Saddles, etc. From there, you will need to capture a Pal that can be used as a mount. For example, the Rushoar is one of the earliest. Once you have captured a Pal, you will find it Saddle-recipe in the Technology Tree. Simply craft it at the Pal Gear Workbench — the materials required for this varies based on the mount.
For instance, for Rushoar Saddle, you will need:
- 3x Leather + 10x Stones + 5x Paldium Fragments
There are over 40 Pals that you can use as mounts in Palworld, each requiring different Technology Level, Saddles, etc. These range from ground mounts like Rushoar, Melpaca, etc. to flying mounts like Nitewing. These can assist in gathering resources or reaching otherwise inaccessible areas. Once the Pal-specific Saddle is equipped, you can mount your Pal and use it for faster travel, exploration, and even in combat situations.
