In Oxygen Not Included you are charged with getting your colony from thriving to striving. The first thing that you need to do in Oxygen Not Included is to choose duplicates that are randomly generated. Each has its own stats, pros and cons. In this Oxygen Not Included duplicants guide, we are going to walk you through the process of accepting duplicants. We are also going to talk about the pros, cons and stats of different duplicants in Oxygen Not Included.
Oxygen Not Included Duplicants
At the very start of the game, you will find a selection of randomly generated duplicants. You will need to pick the ones that you want. Once you start playing and progress through the game, you will have the option of adding more duplicants to your colony. When that happens, you can select from a set of three.
Stats, Pros And Cons
Every duplicant in the game has its own stats, pros and cons that you need to keep in mind when accepting them. Stats are pretty straight forward and you need to keep and eye on the pros and cons of each duplicant in Oxygen Not Included.
Diver’s Lungs is an example of a pro. This means that the duplicant needs less oxygen in order to survive. Then you have the Mouth Breather, which means that the duplicant is going to use more oxygen. These are examples of the stats that you need to consider when accepting duplicants.
Also, keep an eye out for duplicants that cannot do some jobs. A duplicant can have high mining stats but might not be able to mine at all. So those stats are no good.
Stress Response
Duplicants react to stress. A vomiter duplicant will vomit when under high stress and a destructive duplicant will destroy equipment. Vomit can be cleaned up and added to the water supply. Broken objects can be repaired but this can be very costly at times. Depending on what you are going for, you might want to prefer a vomiter over a destructive duplicant.
If you do not like the batch of duplicants then you can opt to not accept any of them. Early in the game your colony should have 4-6 people. More people means that more resources are needed and in Oxygen Not Included, resources are scarce. So keep that in mind.
This marks the end of our Oxygen Not Included Duplicants Guide.
