On Monday, August 19, Nutaku took center stage at their first-ever Game Developer Conference in Cologne, Germany, where attendees got a sneak peek of what Nutaku has in the pipeline. Here we are going to give you a sneak peek at the upcoming design of the Nutaku site.
The redesign seeks to pave the way for users to take advantage of new features, like a built-in search bar and games filter, facilitating the hunt for preferred games from a compilation of free-to-play and premium titles. Users can toggle on or off the sexual preference selector, filtering options based on sexual preference. The selector reinforces the platform’s dedication to making adult gaming more inclusive.
Julie Hall, Communications Manager for Nutaku, talked about the design change for the website and here is what she had to say regarding the matter:
We’ve had a massive influx of players over the past 4 years, going from 1 million registered users at the end of 2015, to over 35 million to date. Given these numbers, we wanted to upgrade the platform’s user experience to accommodate our growing community.
Players should stay tuned for the Open Beta, where they will be encouraged to check out the new design and features and provide their valuable feedback. The following are the new features that you should expect to see:
- Search bar
- Sexual preference selector
- Favorites tab
- Dark layout with light and dark mode switch
Julie Hall went on to mention the following:
When we look closer at the new players coming to our platform, we’ve seen a growth in female gamers from 6% in 2015 to 21%, as well as in LGBTQ+ gamers, from less than 1% in 2015 to 6% after launching our new LGBTQ+ section in December. This called for implementing some new features to provide the best gaming experience for all of our users today and going into the coming years.
It will be interesting to see how fans react to the new design and how it will make things better for the players.
