Start by closing the game engine and NFS Unbound before going any further. Then, open the file explorer and find the Origin game folder. After that, locate the NFS Unbound folder, and from the list of folders that appear, double-click on the Shadercache folder. You’ll find the PcDx12 file that you’ll need to delete there.
Once done with the procedure, get to the Documents folder and open the NFS Unbound cache folder. You’ll also find a Dx12 file, so delete it. After that, restart your PC, and Need For Speed won’t crash again.
Fix 2: Switch Game Client
