Bravely Default 2 is one of the RPGs where you need to learn new skills and abilities. Learning new skills and abilities allows you to perform better during boss fights as well as earn more rewards and XP. Here’s how to learn new skills and abilities in Bravely Default 2.
Bravely Default 2: How to Learn New Skills and Abilities
The skills and abilities in Bravely Default 2 are linked to job levels which means Job Points are key here. If you want to learn skills and abilities for a certain job class, you need enough Job Points to max it out. There are ways to quickly farm job points in Bravely Default 2.
You learn new skills and abilities every time you level up a job in Bravely Default II. You can choose between Active and Passive skills. When you are in combat, you can access combat skills from the battle menu.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to equip the job equipped to use passive skills. As soon as you level up a job and learn a passive skill, activate it on any character and you are free to change jobs.
What this means is that passive skills aren’t tied to any particular job class. For example, you can learn passive skills for the Black Mage but later switch any other job class and still use the Black Mage skill.
To equip a passive skill head over to the menu by pressing X and select the passive abilities you want. Now choose the character and press A to confirm the passive skill for that character. You can equip up to 5 passive skills for each character in Bravely Default 2.
